This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 250GD was originally ordered and sold for the Italian domestic market and shows importation to the United States in March 2021. The G-Wagen is offered with 69k kilometers (~43k miles) shown on the odometer and is located in Jersey City, New Jersey. The truck is finished in Matte Black paint over Brown leather and power is provided by a 2.5-liter OM602 inline-5 diesel linked to a five-speed manual transmission. Notable features include dual-speed four wheel drive, a dual-speed transfer case, an added AMG-style body kit, aftermarket snorkel, hood cowl, and smoked tail lamps. This 250GD is now offered by the current owner and seller with importation records, manufacturer’s literature, one key, and a clean Washington title.
The 250GD is finished in Matte Black paint with the original color noted as Astral Silver Metallic. An AMG-style body kit has been added including front and rear bumpers, an updated grille with headlamp surrounds, and an aftermarket cowl hood. Other exterior features include side marker lights on the front fenders, a snorkel mounted to the passenger fender, smoked tail lamps, and sliding rear-quarter windows. Normal wear can be seen on both front and rear bumpers and detailed photos can be seen in the gallery.
Original wheels have been replaced with late-model 19” wheels from a G63 AMG. Tires mounted are Michelin Latitude All-Seasons showing 2012 date codes. The wheel faces show general scuffs and scratches.
The cabin has been reupholstered in Brown leather across the front and rear seats and door cards with the upper trim and dashboard finished in black. A wood-trimmed Momo steering wheel has been added in addition to an aftermarket Kenwood head unit featuring bluetooth capabilities. Behind the rear folding seat a storage box has been installed with locking clasps. The headliner has been retrimmed in black alcantara and all glass appears intact.
The Momo steering wheel frames the original gauge cluster featuring a 180kph speedometer, an aftermarket tachometer, and ancillary readouts for fuel and coolant temperatures. Indicator lights are shown for front and rear locking differentials along with fuel, high beam, oil, brake, and battery warning lights. 69k kilometers (~43k miles) are shown on the mechanical odometer.
The 2.5L OM602 inline-5 diesel was factory rated at 83 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque when new with power sent to all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The selling dealer does not have records prior to acquisition but reports the 250GD to drive well with no mechanical needs. Photos of the engine bay and underbody are supplied in the gallery.
The included Carfax report shows only history while in the United States and reports importation and registration. This 250GD is now offered by the current owner and seller with importation records, manufacturer’s literature, one key, and a clean Washington title.
The seller has provided a series of video clips showing features and functionality.

@Rockster80 I think so yes, because I asked my mechanic whether he put r134 in when he did the recharge
is the a/c system a R134a convertion?

@PeoriaBenz yeah its definitely not fast, slowest moving thing in my garage lol, compare to my other cars like e92 m3 or w210e55, but its not as slow as i expected, I cruise 60-70 down highway all the time
This may actually be slower than my 1994 E250D 5 speed wagon. But I love it!
And service/maintainance history after my purchase of the truck includes: oil and filter change approximately 300 miles ago, belt change fan change AC high-pressure hose refurbishment & AC recharge with one extra new hose that comes with the car
Hey everyone, I just got a few private messages and to clarify a few things, the W460 generation is rear wheel drive with high-low 4WD transfer case.
