This 1994 Mercedes-Benz E320 Wagon is a Japanese market S124 which was imported by a Luxembourg based enthusiast in 2015 and owned by him up until the current dealer out of France took possession of the vehicle with an odometer now showing 240k kilometers (~149k miles) from new. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Black Patterned Fabric (001), power is provided by a 3.2-liter DOHC inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes self-leveling rear suspension, central locking, power mirrors, power front seats, cruise control, climate control, and a rear-facing third-row bench. Included are Japanese import papers and an invoice to the most recent service which the dealer performed in preparation for the sale. This S124 is now offered for sale by the selling dealer out of Paris, France with Japanese importation papers, the original tool kit, first aid kit, spare tire, rear tonneau/luggage net, and a clean Luxembourg title.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features contrasting lower gray body cladding which is separated by chrome body trim. Exterior features include a black roof rack, front fog lamps, heated and power-adjustable door mirrors, an automatic antenna, quarter-panel indicators, and a rear-window wiper with washer system. The seller reports that the rear hatch and driver door was previously repainted. Minor rock chips are visible on the passenger side body cladding, very light clear coat failure on the rear passenger trunk window bezel, and some scrapes on the rear passenger corner of the bumper. The seller shows the car is a rust free example with detailed exterior and underside photos in the gallery. Original SEKURIT glass is shown in the gallery throughout the car.
The factory 15” 8-hole alloy wheels are fitted with Yokohama BlueEarth-GT tires which measure 195/65 on all four corners with 2025 date codes. No signs of curb rash or corrosion are visible on the wheels with the paint in good condition. The standard self-leveling rear suspension ensures a constant ride height at the rear of the vehicle even with heavy loads in the rear. The factory spare is mounted in the rear along with the original tool kit.
The cabin is trimmed in Black Patterned Fabric (001) with black carpets and front cloth JDM floor mats while Burl Walnut wood trim lines the center console, dashboard and door panels. The wood trim around the shifter console shows some cracking in the veneer. Both front seats offer 10-way power adjustability for the driver and passenger. The seller notes the electric driver headrest is not working. Interior appointments include cruise control, climate control, a 6-speaker Active Bass audio system, a 60/40 split-folding second row, a retractable partition net and a folding rear-facing third row. This S124 also features no power retractable sunroof making it an uncommon slicktop. A Burl Walnut shift knob matches the rest of the wood in the cabin.
The leather and wood-wrapped Sportline style steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a 240-kph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure. A digital outside temperature sensor is mounted centrally at the bottom of the cluster. The six-digit odometer currently shows 240k kilometers (149K miles) from new.
This S124 is powered by a 3.2-liter M104 inline-six with double overhead cams and variable valve timing which is factory rated for 217 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed 722.3 automatic transmission. The seller has performed a service to prepare the car for market. Underbody photos have been provided by the seller and show no signs of corrosion.

As Americans, when we see a slicktop S124 with cloth patterned seats and Japanese market striped carpet floor mats, we tend to lose our minds. Cloth seat Mercedes of this era tend to have lower highway noise and are generally more comfortable to sit in as the seats are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. With the lack of sunroof, you lose the added complexity (especially that finicky tilt function) and lose annoying wind noise when at high speeds. You get the big 3.2 liter engine with all of the funky interior attributes that come with Japanese market cars. The M104 engines are tough as nails and the mileage shouldn’t scare off bidders what-so-ever. We are so into this car and spec.
