This 2006 Mercedes-Benz ML500 was sold new by Mercedes-Benz of South Orlando and shows just under 39k miles from new. Finished in Pewter Metallic (723) over Black Leather (201), power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 mated with a seven-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. Features include heated multicontour front seats, rain sensing wipers, a power operated glass sunroof, COMAND with navigation and a power tailgate. Recent service records are included in the sale and consist of documentation showing all new pads and rotors, engine oil and oil filter change and a new cabin air filter. This ML500 is now offered by the current owner with the original manufacturer’s literature, spare tire, tool kit, a clean Carfax and a clean Georgia title.
The exterior is finished in Pewter Metallic (723) with chrome accents on the door handles, tailgate, side molding, skid plates and exhaust tips. Exterior features include rain sensing wipers, factoryy blue tinted windows with privacy tinted rear windows, a power tailgate and a power tilt/slide glass sunroof. The exterior is in good condition with no signs of rust and the paint is believed to be original. In preparation for the sale, a complete PDR inspection was performed pulling any small door dings from the body, and no dents or dings are noted.
The factory 18” five-spoke wheels wear Michelin Premier LTX tires measuring 255/55 on all four corners and show date codes from 2015 and 2016. The wheels are in good condition with no major scratches or signs of curb rash. The brakes and rotors were recently replaced with Zimmerman units and documentation of the purchase is included in the photo gallery.
The cabin is trimmed in Black Leather (201) with Burl Walnut trim lining the center console, door panels and steering wheel. The front multicontour seats are power adjustable and heated for both driver and passenger. Interior features consist of dual-zone automatic climate control, COMAND with navigation, a garage door opener, cruise control, dual 12V power adapters for the second row and a rear cargo cover. The current owner recently replaced the silver trim on the steering wheel and the ashtray wood trim. The wood trim on the steering wheel shows a small hairline crack.
The wood/leather steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, fuel level gauge and analog clock. The center digital display is configurable and displays the digital odometer which currently reads 38,832 miles. Mounted to the steering column are controls for the cruise control and rain sensing wipers.
This Mercedes SUV is powered by a 5.0-liter M113 V8 which is factory rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission with a 4Matic permanent all-wheel drive system. The Carfax report shows linear mileage updates and regular service visits with no accidents or damage reports since new. Now showing just under 39k miles, this ML500 is offered with the original manufacturer’s literature, spare tire, original tool kit, a clean Carfax and a clean Georgie title.

First offered in 1997 for the 1998 model year, the ML would pave the way for luxury SUVs which now seem so ubiquitous. The second generation, the W164, was released in 2005 and received a major design overhaul along with the introduction of more modern equipment and was offered in V6 and V8 variants. Sold alongside the smaller GLK and larger GL classes, the ML offered a happy medium that afforded more capability and interior space than the GLK without the complexity and road-dominating presence of the GL. Many of these MLs were used and abused accumulating many miles through commutes, trips to the grocery store and of course, soccer practice. As enthusiasts begin to look more fondly on SUVs, many are realizing that finding one with low mileage that has been well cared for is no simple task. This example, with just under 39k miles is remarkably clean and with the M113 V8 is certainly one of the most reliable SUVs offered by Mercedes-Benz. As the buyer, I could not be more pleased. The seller, @GKUP, accurately represented the ML500. I was able to connect with CJ from Hook and Book Transport, recommended by MB Market for the East coast, who had an place on an enclosed shipment headed my way, and delivered the car within 72 hours of the close of the auction. I dropped the vehicle at my independent mechanic, German Precision Auto, Falling Springs, WV, who examined it in detail. Only one minor issue, a windshield washer spray is missing a clip! This W164 looks, drives and even smells every bit like a very neat example. Please take your time to look through the detailed photos. I tried to capture every single corner of the car. The car is still wearing the original factory paint on all body panels and no mechanical issues whatsoever.
