This 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300SD shows first recorded history in 1999 with a California registration. It’s remained in California since 1999 and the current owner/seller acquired the car approximately 6 years ago and has added 27k miles of the 227k total miles displayed. This 300SD came from the factory finished in Astral Silver Metallic (735) over Black MB-Tex (151) and is powered by a 3.0L OM617 turbodiesel engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes power adjustable front seats with memory, a power tilt/slide sunroof, automatic climate control and cruise control. According to the owner, the car is well maintained with all features and functions operable. The most recent service occurred in 2025 and included rebuilding the power steering box. This 300SD is now being offered by the current owner in Bell Gardens, California with the original tool kit, a spare tire, a Carfax report and a clean California title.

The exterior is finished in Astral Silver Metallic (735) although the majority of the factory clear coat has faded since new. The body shows dents, dings, and scratches along with the bumpers. Exterior features include aftermarket headlamps and tail lamps for improved visibility, corner lights, and a front plate bracket. Original headlamps, taillamps, and corner lenses will be included in the sale. The glass is noted to be in good condition and all factory decals appear to be intact. Fitted are the original 15” Gullideckel wheels which come wrapped in a mix of Kumho and Patriot tires measuring 215/70 on all four corners. The finish on the wheels is showing signs of discoloration. The original full-size spare is located in the trunk along with the tool kit. 

The cabin comes upholstered in Black MB-Tex (151) and features Zebrano wood trim lining the center console, dashboard and door panels. Cracking and fading in the wood trim is visible throughout the cabin. Interior features include power adjustable front seats with memory, a power adjustable steering column, automatic climate control, cruise control and an original Becker head unit. An updated center console from a later-model W126 has been added and shows a grey finish. The MB-Tex across the seats shows well with little wear noted. 

An aftermarket steering wheel connected by an NRG hub fronts a 140-mph speedometer along with a 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure. A row of warning lights is placed below with a digital outside temperature sensor mounted in the middle. The six-digit odometer reads 227k miles. The original steering wheel is included in the sale. 

This W126 is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter OM617 inline-six diesel engine which is factory rated at 125 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. At the time of listing, the owner states the parking brake hat will need replaced. The most recent service occurred in 2025 and included rebuilding the power steering box with the following services documented under the owner's care.
