This Euro-Spec 1984 Mercedes-Benz 500SEC was ordered new for the German market and exported to the United States in 1985. Since importation, the car has remained registered and driven in California. The SEC is finished in Black (040) over Palomino Leather (274), and power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes original chrome 8-hole wheels, automatic climate control, a power sunroof, front heated seats, a power antenna, and cruise control. Various service records from current ownership and prior are included in the sale with notable services documented including a recent timing chain service. This C126 shows 73k miles and is now offered by the seller with manufacturer’s literature, three keys, original tool roll, original import documentation, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The car is finished in Black (040) with grey lower cladding and a gold pinstripe painted along the upper beltline of the body. Exterior features include European glass headlamps, European bumpers, lower fog lamps, original OEM front and rear lamps, and original glass. The seller notes the body and chassis to be rust-free with the only blemish being a rock chip in the windshield. 

Chrome 15” 8-hole wheels have been added to this car in place of the factory 14” Bundt wheels. Michelin MXV4 tires measuring 205/65 are shown on all four wheels. Braking is handled by disc brakes at all four corners 

The cabin is finished in Palomino Leather (274) and features original Burl Walnut trim on the center console, dash, and doors. A wood shift knob has been added under prior ownership. Interior features include power windows, automatic climate control, courtesy lamps, heated power front seats, and cruise control. The seller notes that all power functions work as intended with the exception of the air conditioning. Custom covers are shown for the dashboard and rear hat shelf. The seller has added that the radio/head unit is inoperative. 

A black aftermarket steering wheel with a leather-wrapped rim frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and instant fuel economy. The six-digit odometer shows 73k miles. 

The 5.0-liter M117 V8 is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was rated at 228 horsepower and 299 lb-ft of torque when new.
