Black Pearl Metallic (199) paint is believed to be original with no evidence of previous paintwork or rust according to the seller. The lower cladding is finished in a contrasting lighter grey from the factory. Exterior features include Euro spec glass headlights, a painted metal sunroof with tilt function, and painted mirror caps. The seller notes some scuffs and normal road rash along the front bumper cover.
The 2.3-liter M103 inline-four produced 132 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 717.4 5-speed manual transmission which reportedly shifts and engages smoothly throughout each gear. According to the service records that accompany the car, some notable services include:
2020: Cooling system flush and cleaning
2018: A/C recharge
2016: New A/C compressor and conversion to r134a
2016: New radiator and power steering pump
2014: New clutch cylinder
2007: New mid and rear exhaust
The car has a current technical inspection from Spain which is similar to the British MOT or German TUV. The car is now offered with partial service records as pictured in the gallery, all import documentation, a tech inspection card, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.

@11after9 congratulations! I´ll be in touch with you shortly!
Congrats to the buyer. A Benz with three pedals and Sacco lines is a great buy at this price.

Hard to beat a Benz with a manual transmission. Too bad they didn't make more with 3 pedals.

@SamSI not sure if my response posted, in any case, I´ll repost. AC blows cold as it should.
@seller the AC compressor was replaced in 016 and a recharge was done in 018. What is the functionality of the AC system now, 3 years since recharge and 5 years since conversion?

A little more about this car. I purchased this car in Madrid, Spain form the original owner who was a bit too old to drive. Unfortunately his DL had not been renewed. The original options list from the dealer is included in the gallery with options such as AC, electric sunroof, rear headrests, and metallic paint. It all totaled about 5 million pesetas of the time, which would now be about 30k euro, or 35k USD. Back then Spain had high import taxes, so he was charged an extra 31% of the purchase price of the car, making a grand total of 7.2 million pesetas, or about 42k Euros. This was a lot of money for 1990's pre-Olympic economy. So he was very well off for the time. It always remained in the city of Madrid and still wears it's original license plate (not the actual metal plate), as when this car was new, it was not yet mandatory for EU countries to have the blue country distinction, in this case the E for España. But the M for Madrid, four numbers and two letters are indeed original. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. And yes, it is an absolute joy to drive, and the 5 speed changes the C124 completely. Good weekend to all!
@mbrouder you are correct, Ravenswood!!
hmmm, maybe my next daily driver, local too. Looks like Ravenswood.
it would be much nicer if during the driving video we could hear the noise of the car engine instead of the music
