This 1993 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6 was first registered in Massachusetts where it remained for the majority of its life before moving to Delaware under the current owner. Finished in Black (040) over Black MB-Tex (171), this W201 is powered by a 2.6-liter inline-six M103 engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes upgraded Sportline 8-hole wheels, an electric tilt/slide sunroof, power adjustable front seats, cruise control, updated R134 air-conditioning and an aftermarket head unit with auxiliary input. Recent maintenance in the past six months has included new struts and bushings, a new head gasket, timing chain guides, spark plugs, distributer, oil and coolant flushes and much more. Showing just over 124k miles on the odometer, this 190E 2.6 is now offered for sale with manufacturer's literature, two keys, a clean Carfax and clean Delaware title.
The exterior is finished in Black (040) with a contrasting dark gray lower body cladding. Exterior features include a power adjustable passenger side mirror, an electric tilt/slide sunroof, euro headlights and factory blue-tinted heat insulating glass. The seller notes a paint chip on the rear driver side door, a small dent in the passenger door and a cracked rear bumper, otherwise the exterior is in good condition with no rust on the body.
15” 8-hole alloy wheels from a 190E Sportline have been fitted in place of the original gullideckel wheels and wear Hankook rubber measuring 195/55 on all four corners. Four-wheel disc brakes are standard with the pads and rotors being replaced by the current owner in the past six months along with all new brake lines in the rear, and new struts and bushings.
The cabin is upholstered in Black MB-Tex (171) with Zebrano wood trim accenting the center console. Interior amenities include a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, power adjustable front seats and cruise control. An aftermarket Pioneer head unit with auxiliary input replaces the OEM Becker unit. The air-conditioning has received a full overhaul including an R134 conversion, compressor rebuild, a condenser from a W202, new AC lines and a new receiver/drier. The seller notes a missing rear door handle trim piece along with a minor tear in the driver seat bolster. All functions work as intended according to the seller with the exception of the barrel levers on the front driver and passenger doors. All four doors lock/unlock when a key is inserted in the trunk-mounted tumbler, but not when inserted in the front driver or passenger door(s).
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer with a six-digit analog odometer which reads just over 124k miles. Other gauges include a 7k-rpm tachometer, a fuel level indicator, coolant temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge and an analog clock. Below sits a row of warning lights along with a digital outside temperature indicator and controls for the resettable trip odometer.
This W201 is powered by a 2.6-liter inline-six M103 engine which is factory rated at 158 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
Since taking ownership six months ago, the seller has conducted extensive maintenance on the car including new struts and bushings, a new head gasket, new timing chain guides, new air filter, an oil and coolant change, new rear exhaust section, new spark plugs and a new distributor. The seller notes surface rust on the exhaust mid pipe with underbody photos viewable in the photo gallery below.
The Carfax shows linear mileage updates along with regular service visits and shows no accidents or damage reports. With just over 124k miles on the odometer, this 190E 2.6 is now offered with a clean Carfax and a clean Delaware title.
A cold start and walkaround video is viewable below.
The W201 was the first compact offering from Mercedes-Benz and by many standards was far over engineered compared to other competitors in the segment costing them two billion Deutschmarks to develop. Initially offered with the M102 inline-four engine, Mercedes would later fit the M103 2.6-liter inline-six starting in 1985. The result was a light and compact car that offered the luxury of a larger Mercedes-Benz sedan with the powertrain to match. This last year example with its Sportline wheels will make for the perfect daily driver for a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast looking for both form and function.

@cdwatnsu I am indeed!
@Potomac_Pat The receipts should be uploaded to the photo list shortly! Please note that these are receipts for the parts from FCPEuro. I personally performed all of the work and have been working on W201s for quite a while now. Thanks!
