This 1995 Mercedes-Benz G320 was initially built and sold in the Japanese Market with the initial owner reportedly being a member of the United States military. Finished in Ruby Metallic (3572) over a Grey cloth upholstery, this G320 is powered by a 3.2L M104 inline-six and paired with a four-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. Equipment includes factory optioned air conditioning, three locking differentials, power windows, cruise control, a CD changer, and an aftermarket radio/head unit. The seller states partial records are available with the G320 indicating some time spent in Germany with an engine rebuild noted under previous ownership. This G320 is being offered by the current owner in Utah with 101k kilometers (~63k miles), one factory key, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax, and a clean Utah title.
The truck is finished in Ruby Metallic (3572) with a matching grille, bumpers, and fender flares. Equipment includes fog lights, headlamp brush guards, rear mudflaps, clear front marker lamps, and running boards. The seller reports the roof to have received a repaint under previous ownership in Germany along with the front bumper. Additionally, the roof gutters have been previously repaired. Detailed photos have been included in the gallery below.
Factory 16″ wheels have been painted satin black and are mounted with BF Goodrich K02 all terrain tires measuring 245/75 on all four corners. Factory suspension remains featuring springs and coils with braking handled by discs behind each wheel.
The cabin is trimmed in Grey cloth upholstery across both rows of seats along with the door cards and rear tailgate. Black carpet shows well for the footwells and cargo space while the dashboard is finished in black vinyl. Burl wood trim accents the dashboard and center console. Equipment includes factory optioned air conditioning, three locking differentials, power windows, cruise control, a CD changer, and an aftermarket radio/head unit. The wood veneer shows some cracking and fading.
The four-spoke steering wheel features Burl Wood trim and frames VDO instrumentation that includes a 220km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 101k kilometers (~63k miles).
The 3.2L M104 inline-six was factory rated at 210 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to all four wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission with three selectable locking differentials. Additional underbody pictures are viewable in the gallery and records showing a previous engine rebuild are included in the sale. The seller mentions a complete inspection has been performed by a dealer under current ownership.
The Carfax report shows a clean history since the car has been in the U.S. This G320 is being offered by the current owner in Utah with 101k kilometers (~63k miles), one factory key, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax, and a clean Utah title.

@zoccierampqt Thank for the questions. The A/C works properly. All vents operate correctly and it blows cold. No electrical issues are known. All windows work properly. The engine is dry. There are no current fluid leaks. You can see this from the photo gallery. As far as we can tell this is a turn key and drive example of a classic G Wagen. I have taken extra photos of the engine hood showing the paint condition. Also three videos that have been sent to MB Market for upload.
@Dawerks Thanks much!! - always been wanting one and if I win, this will be a life long dream come true. Sorry for being a pain but can you share the inspection report done by the dealer, interested to know what is currently not working or will need attention soon, some things that come to mind: 1) Does the AC work and is it cold? -- we live in Atlanta and needed for the Family b) Any Electrical issues like - Cruise control / All Power windows are operational? c) Any Leaks - Oil, Transmission fluid, Power Steering fluid? d) Stake of Suspension / Brakes e) Or anything that I should know of so it is not a surprise.
@zoccierampqt I will get some videos taken this weekend of the cold start, differential lock engagement, and highway speed driving. Hopefully they can be uploaded this weekend before the conclusion of this auction. As far as the spots on the hood and other places they are dirt specs from driving out to get the pictures taken. Out here the dirt is red in color. It shows up like the photos taken. I will get a closeup of the hood to show the paint condition.
Hi - Few things please. 1) Videos - Cold Start and Driving through the gears - just concerned how she goes along the gears and b) Surely a 1995 with some painting done over the years, I do see white spots on the hood and some other places, I assume, this is paint chipping away?

@Seattlegearhead Driving a G Wagen is all the same up until 2018 when Mercedes redesigned the suspension. Noise level is like driving an SUV, not too noisy. As long as the tires are in balance and the steering shock is still strong, there won't be a vibration. This one is a good example of a smooth driving SUV with no vibrations.
While I have driven many Mercedes over the year, I’ve never had a G wagon, what is noise level like? I would imagine there is a lot more wind resistance? Seems like it would be an ideal ski vehicle.
@pepaglobal The Invoice for the repair work performed in Germany have been added

@EastCoast I own an independent Mercedes repair shop in southern Utah. We periodically get customers cars in that want to get out of them. I purchased this particular G for my wife since I already have one, but unfortunately she isn’t a fan of the interior cloth seats which I personally love! This G comfortably cruises no problem @ highway speeds. The highways around here are 75mph and it had no issue maintaining that speed
@Dawerks Why are you selling and what speed does your truck comfortably cruise along on the highway?
@ProdigalPetrolHead They are surprisingly smooth. If you have ever driven a Mercedes with the M104 the feel is similar.
Always been curious how these drive with the M104. Has to be a rewarding driver.

@pepaglobal The previous owner had the head gasket replaced in Japan. The shop that performed the work installed an oil valve in backwards. While in Germany the complete engine was rebuilt by Herrmanns (a Mercedes Independant repair workshop). I will attach the invoice for view.
Hello, why was the engine rebuilt? These engines are bullet proof (maybe oil leak under head gasket). I work on them many years, never saw one go bad especially with low miles like this. Thank you.
