Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744), this E55 features an AMG styling package which includes sculpted bumpers and extended side skirts. Xenon headlights and headlight washers are also standard on the E55. The car remains all-original with no paint work or modifications. Thorough inspection of each body panel and underbody determined this to be a completely rust-free example. Notably, the "AMG" badge along the lower front bumper is original and rarely still seen on examples today.
This 1999 E55 AMG is now offered with no reserve and comes with all service books, owners manual, and 2 original key fobs. The original window sticker also accompanies the car showing a total retail price of over $72k in 1999. Multiple videos including exterior and interior walk arounds and a driving clip have been provided below.

Next to anything from the same era is mega cool......Hoping to see some action on this!
This next to a c43 😍
So rare a model, even when new. AMG choices in the USA in 1999 were the C43 AMG, and ... this car, the first year AMG E Class offered under the corporate umbrella. And to see one in such great condition is outstanding. Doing well now - and yet sure to continue in appreciation in the years to come.

@edanetz car has been in VA for the past few weeks for this auction. Under my ownership it was stored in CT and was serviced twice by MB of Danbury.
Is the car in VA or in CT where the last service was done?
At this point paint meter readings are going to be tough, but the paint is all original and the car has never had an accident as reflected in the car fax.
Can seller post paint meter photos?
Wow!

An additional video has been added to the listing showing the operation of the A/C and heat.
@MBZTECH Thanks! I was able to take another video showing the A/C and heat in action so hopefully this helps to show that the entire system is working flawlessly... did my best here. The video has been added to the listing.

@blakleyleonard - Thanks. This system will engage the compressor as it needs during "AUTO" operation. It will also cycle the compressor and "turn on" the A/C anytime the defrost button is pressed, to pull any moisture from the air that is directed towards the windshield to ensure good visibility. You did a fantastic job with the photos and videos for the listing, truly top notch!
@poppys - Sorry for the delay. Yes, been working on MB exclusively for almost 20 years and run my own shop for 15. The W210 had a few common A/C leakpoints. The "Z" shaped line that goes from the receiver drier to the condenser was very common. Also, in much higher mileage cars the condenser would leak behind the auxiliary fan (debris would build up and rub through). In rare cases, the evaporator core would leak, but not nearly as common as the W124. Another tell-tale sign of a low a/c charge on a W210 is a light hissing sound from the dashboard, and cooler vent temperatures on the passenger side versus the drivers. When the system becomes too low on R134a, the N22 climate control module will notice this via the B12 pressure sensor an lock out the a/c compressor and store a code. This code must be cleared after repair or the "EC" light will stay lit. I was assuming that it was just in ECONOMY mode, and that is why the light was on but wanted to make sure. You sure have one of the nicest examples of an early W210 E55 I've seen. Current bid is above my internal reserve, so good luck with the rest of the auction!

@MBZTECH Hey! I was able to spend some quality time with this car while taking photos and videos for the listing. The Eco button was purposefully on when the videos were shot. It was 39 degrees outside so there was no need to have the AC engaged. The AC does in fact worth flawlessly just to confirm. I'll try to take another video with the AC on this weekend.

The first generation AMG cars are heavy on analog performance and light on the costly maintenance concerns of today's AMG vehicles. The W210s Achilles Heel is typically body corrosion which this vehicle has none. This will be a very interesting auction to watch. Best of luck !!!

@MBZTECH will get a vid of the car in Eco-mode. The AC wasn’t flagged to me in either of the previous two dealership services. Assuming you’re a tech...would that be spotted in a 10k mile service? EDIT: Check out picture 262, it was 39* out the day the pictures were taken, the AC was definitely not on, ha!
The "EC" (economy) button on the climate control push button is illuminated in the pictures with the engine running. This can be indicative of a low A/C charge and locks out the compressor. Was the system actually in economy mode, or is the A/C low? Please advise, thanks!

@Greig1756 Hi , check out pictures 226-230 for date stamps on the tires. The front two have date stamps of 2016-10-17 2016-06-27 and the rears are both 2018-03-12 None are original and the rears were replaced most recently. The car lived in TX for 20 years, was sold on consignment through a dealership in PA where I bought it (with the help of Blakely Leonard as a matter of fact!) and registered it to my LLC in MT (Local DMVs were closed due to COVID). I brought it to CT where it lived for the fall and winter and was serviced twice. When Blakely mentioned he was starting MB Market up he convinced me to sell it and so I had the car shipped to him in VA to prepare and present for this auction a few weeks ago.
The Carfax reads that 3 tires have been replaced, one is still original. Is that accurate? Also, can you clarify all the movement of the car - TX, PA, CT, MT, & now VA Thank you
