This 1999 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor was sold new to its original owner who kept it for 23 years before being purchased by the current owner in 2022. Finished in Black (040) over Gray MB-Tex (148), power is provided by a 2.3-liter supercharged four cylinder engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power adjustable driver seat, ASR acceleration skid control, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, and a power tilt/slide glass sunroof. Recent maintenance occurring in October 2022 includes an engine oil and oil filter change along with a new headliner. This C230K now shows 155k miles and is offered at No Reserve by the current owner in Bogart, Georgia with the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean Georgia title.
The 15” 8-hole alloy wheels wear a silver finish and come fitted with tires measuring 195/60 front and 205/60 rear. The finish in the wheels is beginning to show some signs of discoloration. This C230 Kompressor comes equipped with four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and ASR acceleration skid control.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer which sits alongside a 7k-rpm tachometer, fuel level gauge and coolant temperature gauge. Digital displays show an outside temperature sensor, digital clock and digital odometer which currently reads 155k miles, 2k of which were added by the current owner.
This W202 is powered by a 2.3-liter supercharged inline-four which is factory rated at 185 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque which is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The most recent oil change was performed under current ownership in October 2022.
The Carfax report shows two owners and registration in Georgia with the first owner maintaining the car over the course of 23 years. Linear mileage updates along with service visits are shown with no accidents or damage reports. Now showing 155k miles, this C230 Kompressor is offered for sale by the current owner in Bogart, Georgia with the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report and a clean Georgia title.
Start-up and walk-around videos have been added by the seller.
Following the success of the W201, the engineers were tasked with following up a car famous for its reliability and thorough engineering. To bring it up to date, 90s Bruno Sacco styling and a modernized interior were added along with a new assortment of powertrains including a four and six cylinder option. The 16-valve 2.3-liter power plant would soon receive a supercharger starting in 1995 which allowed it to output 190 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque, more than the previous generation’s six-cylinder variant. This increase in power coupled with improved comfort and features makes the C230 Kompressor the perfect option for someone looking for a compact daily driver that can deliver power when needed. While not the rarest of choices, the W202 offers phenomenal value for money for any Mercedes enthusiast looking for a good daily driver that offers a classic 90’s Mercedes-Benz experience.

MedianMB: The previous owner had the blower motor replaced right before I bought it. The blower works as expected, not noisy. When you rotate the climate control dials to cool they click into place to indicate AC has been activated, it is cold. The heat works very well, almost too well for the climate here in GA. Only the driver's seat is power and it works perfectly. There is only one key but as you can see in the picture it is a more modern key, the previous owner had the key and ignition replaced a few years ago. Thanks for your question.
Hi TreyS! Can you comment on how noisy the ventilation blower is? Does AC work properly? Do all the power seat functions work as designed? How many keys do you have? Thanks!
Thank you for answering my questions
mhs244: I bought the car with the intention of letting my son drive it. Things have changed, he wants to drive another of my cars. I really like the car but need to reduce my numbers. Imperfections are listed in the description; some scratches and stone chips, driver's seat belt is slow to retract, small rust spot of rear door and slight wheel discoloration. Other than that the car is great. Thanks for your comment/question.
Why sell the car so soon after purchasing it from the "Original Owner"? What all is wrong with it? Kindly detail all of the imperfections due to which you are compelled to sell it so soon. Thanks.
