This 2000 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor was sold new in April 2000 and shows Florida registration with just 71k miles on the odometer. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Two-tone Orion Gray Nappa Leather (258), power is provided by a 2.3-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a Sport Package with sport styling, interior and sport-tuned suspension, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, power adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a six-disc CD changer and remote central locking. Recent maintenance includes a new battery, new brake pads and rotors, a new alternator, new tires and an engine oil change. This C230 Kompressor is now offered for sale by the current owner with the original tool kit, a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features sport styling with monochromatic body trim, black B-pillar trim and sport badges. Exterior features include heated power mirrors with an auto-dimming passenger side, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, remote central locking and integrated front fog lamps. The exterior shows only minor scratches with no rust or body damage present.
The Sport Package includes the addition of 16” six-spoke alloy wheels finished in silver which have been fitted with Saffiro Travel Max tires measuring 205/55 on all four corners showing date codes from 2021. Sport-tuned suspension is accompanied by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes which received new pads and rotors from the current owner. A spare tire can be found mounted below the trunk floor along with the original tool kit.
The cabin is trimmed in two-tone Orion Gray Nappa Leather (258) and features a black headliner, carpets and floor mats while carbon-look sport trim lines the center console and door panels. The front sport-contoured seats offer 10-way power adjustability for both driver and passenger. Additional interior amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, a six-disc CD changer, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, cruise control and a sport steering wheel. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats allow for through loading. The seller notes that the radio is inoperable.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames ivory gauges including a 160-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer, along with gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Digital instrumentation includes a digital clock, an outside temperature sensor and a digital odometer which currently shows 71k miles with just under 2k miles added by the current owner in the past year.
This W202 is powered by a 2.3-liter supercharged inline-four which is factory rated at 185 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Maintenance under current ownership included an engine oil and oil filter change, a new battery and a new alternator. The seller notes an intermittent SRS light with no stored fault codes present.
The Carfax report shows Florida registration from new with linear mileage updates and no accidents or damage reports. Now showing 71k miles, this C230 Kompressor is offered for sale by the current owner with the original tool kit, a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title.
Following the success of the W201, the engineers were tasked with following up a car famous for its reliability and through engineering. To bring it up to date, 90s Bruno Sacco styling and a modernized interior were added along with a new assortment of powertrains including a four and six cylinder option. The 16-valve 2.3-liter power plant would soon receive a supercharger starting in 1995 which allowed it to output 185 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque, more than the previous generation’s six-cylinder variant. This example compliments that power with an optional Sport Package which includes sport body styling, interior trim, sport seats and upgraded sport-tuned suspension with 16” wheels. With just 71k miles, this C230 is certainly one of the cleaner examples to come up for sale and should make for an exciting and unique daily driver for any Mercedes enthusiast.

Has the radio ever worked while you have owned the car, or has it always been broken?
@hagopdemirjian photos of the headliner have been added to the gallery.
Additional photos of the headliner have been added to the gallery.
@hagopdemirjian I'm not sure how to add a photo
@kokolomoush good afternoon, there is no overspray on the fan shroud. The car has never been painted or touched up.
Has the front end been repainted? The plastic fan cover appears to have silver overspray. All of my 202s had black plastic.

@hagopdemirjian the headline is original in Grey. The pillers are original black. I can take a picture after work
@Rockster80 no issue with the headline its original
@Rockster80 everything works except the radio. Actually the radio has power but not working.
It says in the description that the car has a black headliner. Was the original one replaced? As far as I know all of these models came with a gray headliner from the factory. Can you include a photo?
Hello....any issues with the headliner? All features (other than the radio) operative (a/c, cruise, windows, sunroof)? Thanks
Mannn these cars are truly amazing. I dailied one of these for 3 years before buying an SLK 230 Kompressor. My C230K was kinda rusty. Nowhere near as beautiful as this one. This one is exactly like mine. Good luck on the auction and to everyone who bids. These cars are incredibly reliable and mine never let me down. Same with my SLK. Incredible power train and a unique experience that many Mercedes-Benz’s don’t offer.
