This 2001 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG was sold new with Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia with a pre-delivery inspection reported on December 15, 2000. The car remained with the original owner through 2008 when the selling dealer’s master technician purchased the car. Modifications were installed in 2009 by the owner and technician including the Kleemann supercharger and accompanying cooling upgrades, CLK63 AMG front and rear brakes, KW V1 coilovers, and much more. The car is finished in Brilliant Silver (744) over Black Leather (521) and powered by a Kleemann-supercharged 5.4-liter M113 paired with a built and reinforced CLK55 AMG five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes Xenon headlamps, heated multi-contour front seats, a BOSE stereo with original Becker head unit, dual-zone automatic climate control, original E55 AMG floor mats, and an OEM+ CLK55 AMG steering wheel and matching shift knob. The attached Carfax and VMI reports show consistent service with the selling dealer and recent services include a complete fluid flush with new filters, new belts, and new Michelin tires. Aftermarket MRR wheels have been added for brake clearance. This Kleemann-modified AMG W210 currently shows 108k miles on the odometer and is offered by the selling dealer with factory literature, three keys, a clean Carfax report, complete VMI, and a clean Georgia title.
This E55 is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features AMG bodywork including sculpted bumpers and side skirts. Additional equipment includes factory-optioned Xenon headlamps with heated washers, front and rear fog lamps, a glass sunroof with tilt function, painted mirror caps, factory smoked tail lights, and re-spaced dual AMG exhaust outlets. The selling dealer reports no major blemishes with the exterior noting the headlamps are clear with no signs of fading, the nose shows very minor rock chips, and all glass is original showing OEM markings.
Original AMG Monoblock wheels have been replaced with aftermarket 19” MRR GT1 wheels to ensure AMG big brake clearance, sourced from a CLK63 AMG. In April 2022 new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were mounted by Butler Tire in Marietta, Georgia. The tires measure 245/35 and 275/30 with 2021 date codes shown. Aftermarket KW V1 coilover suspension was added in 2009.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 108k miles and shows some missing pixels in the digital clock display. The gray airbag, also from a CLK, shows some color wear at the bottom edges and right of the center emblem.
From the factory, the AMG-assembled 5.4-liter M113 V8 is rated at 354 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. With the Kleemann supercharger, headers, downpipes, and ECU tune, power is closer to 475 horsepower and 456 lb-ft of torque. The original 722.6 five-speed automatic transmission was replaced with one from a C209 CLK55 AMG and reinforced by the master technician and owner to reliably handle the power and torque. Other drivetrain modifications include enhanced cooling, a limited slip differential, polyurethane bushings, braided stainless steel brake lines, and a Magnaflow muffler. Recent services include a complete fluid flush with new filters and new belts.
The W210 AMG is officially a highly sought after enthusiast vehicle that has recently begun to see appreciating values. We could talk for days on end about the strong and reliable naturally aspirated M113 engine and it’s 722.6 transmission but that would be an understatement when names like Kleemann are dropped into the mix. At stock power this hotrod sedan was potent enough to keep up with exhilarating modern day offerings but with the added power, this sedan is a true muscle car in sleeper garb. Maybe the most appealing aspect is that this example wasn't built in a home garage but by a Mercedes-trained master technician as his personal bruiser. With the provenance and rare modifications added, this E55 should prove to be an asset that can be enjoyed daily while maintaining or increasing in value.

Thanks to all who have commented, called in, and DM'd us over the Kleemann. @Venemike apologies for leaving you hanging here. We've had some call-ins asking questions about the car but don't want your question to go unanswered. As far as we know/can tell this car hasn't been in any accidents. Underside photos have been uploaded to the gallery showing details and it's equally as nice underneath. We've also had questions regarding cats for CA smog. It seems all cats are still intact and just the resonator was deleted. Thanks to all, we're available today as needed for last-minute questions.

@Armenian Thank you for your patience (and enthusiasm) for the car. No internal modification was performed- just rebuilding and refurbishing to factory specs internally. We have nice weather today, we'll be taking some videos.
excellent car the w210 is bulletproof how is the reliability with the supercharger

I have the same 2001 E55 AMG in black over charcoal leather. There seems to be a few common problems with these facelift W210's (and other MB models of those years), Headliner drooping, pixels in dash dying, rear window regulators crapping out, but these are so minor compared with the value. All these small issues can be avoided if not leaving parked outside. Leaving any vehicle constantly parked outside is a no no as the sun is brutal to any car after years of exposure. Having said that, these rare AMG versions of the W210 are "Bullet Proof" monsters. They seem to be extremely underrated which is a good thing for buyers. My E55 has the "parktronic", Nav, Vented seats and upgraded Tele-Aid(still connected and working) which is extremely rare. This gorgeous example is extremely desirable to people who understand the market. I am just curious: Was there any head work done to address the supercharger/compression issue since they came with 10.25:1 compression from the factory. Lowering the factory compression would allow more boost from the supercharger and figuring out the pulley size on the supercharger to make it compatible. Thank you
