This 2001 Mercedes-Benz ML58 BRABUS began life as a ML430 and underwent modification by BRABUS North America from 2001-2003. Finished in Black (040) over Saffron Leather (264), power is provided by a bored and stroked 5.8-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels through a two-speed transfer case. Other BRABUS modifications include body and trim accents, lighting, 20" wheels, exhaust, interior, and more. In preparation for the sale, this ML received new shifter bushings, an AC service, and an oil and filter change. This ML58 now has just under 78k miles and is offered out of a private collection with partial service records, a window sticker, books and manuals, a clean Carfax report, and a Minnesota title.
The exterior is finished in Black (040) and features a front brush bar, black roof rails, BRABUS front and rear bumper covers, fender flares, extended side steps, rear spoiler, and BRABUS badges. Quad BRABUS-stamped exhaust outlets are seen exiting the rear. The headlights fitted are from a face-lifted W163 and the rear features smoked LED units. Additional equipment includes remote central locking, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, power-adjustable heated door mirrors and tinted glass. The paint is reportedly in great condition with detailed photos provided in the gallery and no accidents or damage reported to the Carfax.
The leather and wood steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Digital instrumentation consists of an outside temperature sensor, a digital clock, a trip meter and a digital odometer which currently shows just under 78k miles.
This ML is powered by a 5.8-liter M113 V8 which is reported to produce 400 horsepower and 427 lb-ft of torque. BRABUS reworked the engine with a custom crankshaft, pistons, and connecting rods. Additional engine modifications are said to include ported and polished cylinder heads with revised camshafts and larger valves as well as a full exhaust system and custom tune. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission which can be shifted manually. A major service less than 500 miles ago in 2019 totalled over $8k and included a flushing of the brake fluid, differential, transfer case, transmission fluid, and an oil change along with new front brake pads and rotors, lower ball joints, serpentine belt, valve cover gaskets, and engine air filter. In preparation for the sale, the seller performed a fresh oil service, installed new shifter bushings, and performed an AC service.
The engine bay features a carbon fiber cover with the BRABUS engine builder plaque and red valve covers. Underbody photos are viewable in the gallery along with the partial service records included. The Carfax report shows linear mileage updates from new with no accidents or damage reported and the most recent service entry on October 2, 2025.
A walk around video and driving video are provided below.
With nearly five decades of experience, BRABUS has become known worldwide for its extensive performance and visual modifications to Mercedes-Benz cars along with various other German brands. When BRABUS got their hands on the W163, they were able to increase horsepower and torque into the 400's and reach the full potential of the naturally aspirated M113. In addition, BRABUS offered plenty of other aftermarket equipment which this ML received including its iconic Monoblock wheels, upgraded ML55 brakes, beefed up suspension, interior and exterior trim, and a quad-tip exhaust. The deep engine modifications from BRABUS in the late ‘90s and early 00's is definitely cooler than the more modern turbo cars where absurd teutonic engineering and metal work has been replaced by boffins and software tuning. The rarity of this ML58 is in a league of its own. Stumbling across another won't happen by chance and rarely does one trade from one collector to another. Yet here we are, offering the rare opportunity to do just that. This 77k-mile example shows extremely well both inside and out, and is sure to stand out from the crowd and sprint miles ahead of anyone who thinks otherwise. This is more than just a car, it's a piece of Mercedes-Benz tuning history from BRABUS with precision engine work and interior craftsmanship that still outshines new cars today.

Good afternoon MB Market Community, Thank you for all your bids so far. This Brabus ML 5.8 has been part of my personal collection for the past six years and remains one of the most unique SUVs of its time. It needs absolutely nothing — everything functions as it should, and mechanically it’s perfect. I’ve invested over $10,000 in maintenance during my ownership (receipts are shown in the gallery). A rare, fully sorted example that will not disappoint.$25,500 bid placed by @neondreams88

Paint meter readings have been added to the gallery. A walk around and driving video have also been added. It's worth mentioning that the truck has been serviced and doesn't need anything at the moment. All Power Options work as they should, AC blows cold. Please watch the Walk around video. Bid with confidence! The paint meter readings have been submitted to MB Market and will be posted shortly. According to the readings thos Brabus has never had any paint work done and wears it's original paint!Hello MB Market Community and welcome to my listing for the **2001 Mercedes-Benz ML58 BRABUS** — a rare and powerful piece of early-2000s tuning history. This ML was built by **BRABUS** when they were at the height of their craft, transforming the W163 into something far beyond a regular SUV. The 5.8-liter BRABUS engine delivers the kind of torque and character you’d expect from Brabus. Make sure to watch a driving video to fully understand it https://youtu.be/KVDob3gzmKo?si=rEe7RO17usC0JiRU The truck has been well cared for, presents beautifully, and drives exactly as a proper BRABUS should — strong, tight, and special in every way. @Mbb79184 - dunno if it's why they did it, but I like the "why buy/cut up a rare AMG ML55 when you're going to throw most of the AMG parts away anyway", better to use an ML420 or ML500. Its why Singer makes "Turbo Studies" out of regular C2 964s not 3.6 964 Turbos :)$6,000 bid placed by @Cambam
@Jrad1600, 1000 miles is a lot of miles to put on a car when the car is part of a large car collection. I'm really surprised I put that many miles. Wow!Anyone know why they started with a 430 instead of the 55? I believe the last one of these I saw was also 430 based so I’m assuming there is a good reason. Thank you.As an ML55 owner, I'd love to own this. I'm curious why this one hasn't been driven? It sold on Bring a Trailer 6.5 years ago and only 1,000 new miles since then.
