This 2002 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG was sold new in November 2001 to the first owner in Connecticut. In 2003 it was purchased and sold by Brumos out of Jacksonville, Florida where it remained under service through 2016 when it moved to Georgia. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over a Black Leather (231) interior, power comes from an AMG-built 5.4-liter V8 paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes Active Body Control suspension, heated and cooled front dynamic seats, factory COMAND with Navigation, Parktronic, Distronic, Bose audio, and much more. Thorough service records accompany the car and include documented ABC service, brakes, fluids, and more. This S55 AMG shows 161k miles and is offered by the selling dealer with factory literature, a Carfax report, two keys, and a clean Georgia title in the current owner’s name.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features a factory AMG kit which includes a sculpted front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper accented by twin-tipped exhaust outlets. The included Carfax report shows minor damage reported to the rear of the car in 2014 under previous ownership and a minor report in 2021. Exterior features include a power glass sunroof, Xenon headlamps, Parktronic parking sensors, power folding mirrors, and heated windscreen washers. Detailed photos of the exterior can be seen in the gallery below with a paint scuff noted on the lower front lip.
Staggered 18″ AMG alloy wheels wear Continental ExtremeContact tires measuring 245/45 and 265/40 respectively with 2020 date codes displayed. Tucked behind the original AMG wheels are larger AMG brake calipers.
The interior is trimmed in Black Leather (231) across the seats, headrests, door cards, armrest, and door handles. Burled Walnut Root veneer accents the center console, door cards, and dashboard. Custom S55-embroidered floor mats are included in the sale and show well. Interior equipment includes heated and ventilated dynamic front seats, heated and ventilated rear seats, Distronic radar-guided cruise control, Bose audio, COMAND with navigation, four-zone automatic climate control, Keyless-Go, a power rear window shade, soft-close doors, and a power-close trunk.
The leather-wrapped and wood steering wheel frames factory instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a digital odometer with trip function showing 161k miles. Additional gauges include coolant temperature and fuel level. Digital readouts display outside temperature as well as driving gear and mode.
The AMG-built 5.4-liter M113 V8 is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and rated at 355 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque when new. Thorough service records accompany the car and include documented ABC service, brakes, fluids, and more.
The Carfax report lists dealer service and linear mileage updates since new. This S55 AMG is offered by the selling dealer with factory literature, a Carfax report, two keys, and a clean Georgia title in the current owner’s name.

Beautiful car, higher mileage or not, it's a timeless classic. I wish I had some extra cash on hand to make this happen. GLWTA!
@Tank24 Completely agree! Most 30k cars don't offer this level of comfort, convenience, and performance in one....Plus, when's the next time you'll see another at a red light?
Incredible value today! To think you can get a top tier luxury S class AMG for less than a used civic is incredible.

Good morning all, thanks for the good comments and messages so far. In the interest of building the service history for this car we wanted to highlight some services for everyone. Regrading ABC, valve blocks, accumulators, and several lines were replaced in 2017. The rear shocks appear to be replacements but an exact replacement date isn't clear. The front seem to be original with blocks and accumulators being new. In 2018 the car received a complete transmission rebuild and engine rear main seal. Since 2017 more than 10k in service and maintenance is accounted for and shows in the way this car performs. As we near the end of the auction today, let us know if there are details anyone would like to see.

Could you elaborate on the ABC suspension maintenance....I see some valve body replacements on the CarFax but a spread sheet type format of ABC R&R descriptions with dates/mileage would be much appreciated....if available. Thanks,
