This 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK430 Cabriolet was sold new by Rick Hill Imports of Kingsport, Tennessee in November of 2002. Original designo Curled Maple wood trim lines the center console, dash, and doors. Interior features include power windows, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable and heated front seats with position memory, cruise control, Bose audio, and a 6-disc CD changer. The designo leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and fuel level. Digital readouts can be seen for ambient temperature and time, and all pixels are in working order. The digital odometer now shows 35k miles.
The 4.3-liter M113 V8 was rated at 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The included Carfax report shows 19 service history records since new, the majority of which were Mercedes-Benz dealers up to 2023.

@Pierce350 no issues with the top. I will try to get someone to record me putting it up and down today. I have a video of the car running that I recorded a few days ago, i will upload it once I figure out how to. As for pictures of the top, please look at the links of images I have below. I am not sure why they weren’t included in the listing. https://imgur.com/a/fEeL4HH
Can you post a video of the car running and driving and also a current video of the top working. Is there issues with the top? Asking as there are no current photos of the top up and or working in your listing. Thank you

$5,000 bid placed by @LAZARU5
@LAZARU5 I am not sure about that. I would assume so. A previous owner installed it, not me. It appears to have been professionally installed since the usb cable was ran through to the arm rest compartment and a bracket was used to put it in place. Is there any other way to verify this?
There does not seem to be a Kenwood video unit that is compatible with the CLK430 in the Crutchfield catalog. Was the Kenwood unit installed with plug-n-play cable adapters or was it spliced into the factory wiring harness?
https://imgur.com/a/fEeL4HH Pictures of the top and headlights can be found here. I can confirm that all bulbs work and the headlights were resealed in 2021.
https://imgur.com/a/pumFI21 These are tire pictures.
All 4 tires are the same, with a date code of 49/19. Which means that they were manufactured near the end of 2019. Based on the Carfax, it looks like they were installed on 04/05/2021 at 32,294 miles. So the tires have been used from about 3k miles. The car has always been garage kept since I took ownership and the previous owner had it in a showroom the whole time. This would lead me to conclude that the tires are in like new condition.
@soldbydon The Kenwood Stereo comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You get all the apps they offer when the phone is plugged in. The wiring is in the center council compartment so your phone will be hidden and charging. The touchscreen lets you navigate through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It does still contain the Bose Amp. I will try to upload pictures tonight. There is no rattle and no dead pixels on any of the screens. In addition, the buttons are not sticky at all. I have only seen that on Maseratis. It does have the owners manual with the window sticker but it unfortunately only has one key, but I will also include a nice key cover with it.
@Vcm913 Just some additional info: Equipment includes a power-operated black soft top, the AMG Styling package, 17″ AMG wheels, xenon headlamps, heated multi-contour front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an aftermarket Kenwood touchscreen stereo. The car is nished in designo Cashmere Metallic (036) and features a power-operated black soft top, xenon headlamps with washers, and the AMG Styling package, which adds revised bumper covers and side skirts. The hydraulic cylinders for the convertible top were reportedly replaced in 2021. Five-spoke 17″ AMG wheels wear 225/45 front and 245/40 rear Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. The car is equipped with an Electronic Stability Program. The cabin features designo Pebble Grey Nappa leather that extends from the seats to the steering wheel, shift knob, and door panel inserts. Curled maple wood accents the dashboard and center stack, and additional appointments include heated multi-contour front seats with position memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an aftermarket Kenwood touchscreen stereo. According to the previous owner, the car has Bilstein OE B4 Shocks in both the front and rear and a Sach Steering Stabilizer. These appear to have been installed in 2021.

Gorgeous example! I am in Ohio and own 3 of the CLK430's myself. Of the 17 modern classic M-B's in my collection the CLK's are my favorite. It's easy to understand why: The SL's are higher performance but way more maintenance-intensive, and they lack the practical interior space of the CLK's. The CLK's have just the right amount of modern electronics and safety features, but none of the electrical or suspension complexities of the 2000-era SL's. A few questions for you based on experience: 1) Please provide more info on the Kenwood aftermarket head unit - did it keep the original high-quality Bose amplifier (some don't) and does it have a CD input? Navigation works ok? 2) Is there a trunk mounted M-B CD changer? 3) Please confirm that the car does not have any of these issues found common to the CLK's: a) Rattle from underneath indicating bad cats b) passenger-side mirror wont automatically respond downwards to a shift into reverse c) top requires the driver to "help" lift it open due to defective top hydraulics or a broken cable 4) some pixels are dead in HVAC digital display 5) Steering wheel buttons are not "sticky" feeling. 6) 2 key fobs and all owners manual books? 7) Windscreen still in its case in trunk? Also, please provide pix of the car with all the front lights turned on, as replacing the bulbs requires a removal of the front nose assembly, an expensive ordeal. Thank you and good luck!
Please post some photos of the soft top closed so that we can see the condition. A video showing the operation would help also. Thanks!
@aruysam Tires are likely not original. I assume they have been replaced once or twice by the previous owners. I will get the date codes on them for you. No cracks or anything. I have not noticed any issues with them while owning it so have not replaced them. The car drives very smoothly. I drive a lot of cars on a regular basis and I find that tire issues are one of the major contributors to a cars drivability. I remember hating driving a Ferrari once because the tires sucked... image that. As for the suspension, it appears to be in tip top condition as there is no sagging or other issues even when the car sits for a few months in my garage during the winter. I have owned a few older benz before where that is definitely an issue.
I will upload all service record that I have. Its not much or anything serious but I will upload them by tomorrow.
What a beautiful and slightly unusual color! Really compliments the lines of the car.

Are the tires original? What’s the date on them? Any signs of cracks or deformations? Also any suspension or top hydraulics leaks? Does the owner have the service records?
I would like to see the top go up and down how it functions and see how actually works properly.

The following is the link for the brochure and window sticker of the car showing all the options. https://imgur.com/a/fEeL4HH
Good afternoon, Thank you for taking an interest in my car. I purchased the car to add to my collection a few years back but since then things have changed and I need the garage space for more cars. I have not driven the car much, just on summer evenings around town. It has been garage kept and covered the whole time I have owned it. Since I took ownership, the car has been serviced at a local Mercedes Benz dealership. The car is in near perfect condition. It drives wonderfully and I have not had one issue with it. The color combination for me is the best thing about this car. That Cashmere purplish/gray paint is very unique and pops in the evening light. While doing some research on the car, I came across the original brochure for the Cashmere Edition which I will upload below along with the window sticker. It is interesting to note that according to the brochure, the interior of this card was handcrafted. Good luck bidding and please me know if you have any questions on concerns. J
