Work completed since 2019 is said to include flushing of the Active Body Control system fluid and replacing a transmission mount, the ignition coil packs, the ignition box, the secondary air injection pump and lines, and the Active Body Control system level linkages. The steering rack was also overhauled in 2019. This W221 S600 has 91k miles and is now offered in Pennsylvania by the selling dealer with the owner’s manual, a VMI report, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The car is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) and features bi-xenon headlights, a panoramic sunroof, Parktronic, blind-spot monitoring, soft-close doors, a power-operated trunk lid, polished exhaust outlets, and auto-dimming side-view mirrors with integrated signal lighting. The Carfax report lists an accident in May 2014 involving a rear-end collision with another vehicle. The rear bumper was reportedly replaced and repainted to address the damage. Photos of paint meter readings are provided in the gallery below indicating original paint on all of the steel panels and higher readings only showing on the rear bumper.
The 19″ multi-spoke wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 255/40 up front and 275/40 out back. The car is equipped with Active Body Control (ABC) suspension, and braking is handled by four-wheel vented disc brakes. Work completed since 2019 reportedly included flushing the ABC system, overhauling the steering rack, and replacing the ABC level linkages.
The cabin features climatized and power-adjustable front and rear seats upholstered in perforated Gray (508) Exclusive leather along with burl walnut accents. Amenities include massaging and dynamic front seats, four-zone automatic climate control, Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control, Keyless-Go, a backup camera, Night View Assist, a Harman Kardon sound system, the Memory Package, COMAND infotainment with navigation, electric rear sunshades, and a heated steering wheel. Rubber floor mats are fitted, and the removed factory carpeted mats are included in the sale. The seller notes the driver’s seat dynamic active bolsters do not work.
The heated wood and leather-trimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level along with multifunction displays controlled by buttons mounted to the steering wheel. The digital odometer indicates 91k miles.
The twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter M275 V12 was factory rated at 510 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque. Work completed in 2022 is said to include an oil change and the replacement of the ignition box, ignition coils, and secondary air injection pump and lines. The engine cover is missing the V12 and three-pointed star emblems.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. A transmission mount was reportedly replaced in 2019, while an oxygen sensor was replaced in 2022.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned 2014 accident and lists registration history in Illinois and Pennsylvania.

Oh that's a bummer. Thank you to everyone for all of the great comments, and of course for all of the bids. The owner has decided if the reserve was not met he would be happy to keep the car. We were very very close, maybe we can make a deal?
We have people who bought v12 cars from us who still send us their cars from all over
Don't forget, if there is anything service wise you want done, the guys who worked for Bruce and now work with me are all certified Benz techs and we can have anything you like done at a fraction of the dealer prices

Okay okay.... If the car sells and you come pick it up at the farm, I can't throw Lucy into the deal but I'll let her slobber on you. Hows that for a throw in? 135 pound Bull Mastiff slobber? You can let her ride in the car if you like too, but bring a rag.

We're very close, I'd love to see this sell. The owner is a great guy and I would like to see it go for him.

Bruce was the 5th ranked goalie where we only had spots for 2 on the varsity and 2 on the JV. Our Varsity backup went down in the pre season and all of us on the Varsity team were buddies with Bruce and lobbied to get him on the Varsity as the back up. Our starter was a standout in Minn, he was doing a PG year, we figured Bruce would never get into a game. Well our starter got suspended for a game and Bruce had to play. We were diving in font of shots to protect him, trying to earn the win for him. We came up short. He was so well liked on the team we were still happy for him.

Bruce was a goalie, which would explain his sense of humor. We played our last game together a few months before he passed.

@abutterer we all miss him, he was a good dude. We went back 40 years. We played hockey in Prep School together, class of 1983. Jump into the bidding. This is a car Bruce and I sold to the current owner.

Hey I still have to feed my dogs and one is a 135lb Bull Mastiff. Lucy gets angry if 7:30 comes and she's not eaten.
@howS I used to love watching his auctions. I kept telling myself my first S class would be one of his :-(

@abutterer naa I have to keep my dogs. I was over at Bruce's place two weeks ago to say hello to his family and his beloved Carmine is still guarding the house. Bruce ran a great auction, he was a really funny guy with his comments.
@howS no threat of selling the dog?

Home stretch here. This is a wonderful, well serviced S600. Take a look at the VMI report that's included, no stone was left unturned in the care of this car. On top of that we just replaced the SAI pump and lines, flushed the ABC system, replaced the ABC level links, replaced the trans carrier, did a full A service. This car is just fantastic. I'd love to see it go to a new owner!

We're in the final day now. I would love to see this beautiful S600 go to a good home. Its a wonderful car. Fully serviced, turnkey ready to roll. These v12 cars are the pinnacle of the S class lineup. Effortlessly cruise at high high speeds for hours at a time, or blow off unsuspecting sports cars at the stop light.

@MDdriven - I wouldn't sweat the brakes. These aren't like the AMG cars, brake prices are entirely reasonable

@MDdriven I tried to get a shot of the pads but the spokes are too close together and their depth prevents being able to get a good angle through them. The brakes are easily more than 50% remaining according to my shop.

@MDdriven I'd be happy to. I can say this. My crew has been through this car twice. If it needed anything at all we'd have done it. @E350mania I'm in Newtown PA and I'd be happy to arrange shipping anywhere.
Where is it located and if i win what is the best way ti transport it to me?
@howS nice presentation here. Glad I’m not alone in thinking these cars have aged nicely. Can you manage to stick your phone in between the spokes and see how much brake pad is left? Or if you have notes on brakes, that helps.
I have owned S class MB for most of my adult life. This S600 must be the ultimate one! I'd like to drive it home.....
I used to think why would anyone get the 600 when there's the 63 and 65 models. Today I think the exact opposite ironically. Having owned both over the years, the comfort level of the 600 is so elevated in comparison and considering I don't track my cars, the standard V12 is perfect. All bite with no fuss for which the wife is also a fan.

Thanks for looking at my auction for this fantastic S600. I love these cars, the v12 twin turbo is just a jewel of a motor. Massive torque, gobs of power, runs all day long a high high rates of speed, with that special feel of German engineering. This one is bittersweet, it’s a @bruce_m special. Bruce and I sold this car to the current owner the last time around on BAT. He shipped it down to me so I could sell it for him, and have our guys go through the car. In prep for the sale, the same guys who worked for Bruce went through the entire car. All of them are certified Benz techs. They replaced, the SAI pump and lines (a big job), replaced the coil packs and ignition box, flushed the ABC system, replaced the trans mount, did a fresh oil change, and on and on. We wanted this car to be turnkey. Also look at the VMI report provided. This car has always been dealer serviced and clearly done with an open checkbook. Full disclosure, the dynamic upper side bolsters on the drives seat do not function. I could not justify ripping apart the seats to diag the issue. Quite frankly I have put a few hundred thousand miles on the 2 W221 diesel S Classes I have owned and never once had any desire to use that function. Everything else works as it should. These cars are just so understated with the only clues to just how great they are being the v12 badge behind the front wheels on the quarters and the S600 badge on the rear. However, when you bury your right foot, it will leave just about every other big sedan in the dust. I shudder to think of how many cows gave their lives for the massive amount of beautiful leather all over this beast. As always, if you have any questions, or would like a specific picture, please post em up or hit the “contact seller” button and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
Always loved this 600 wheel design. Perfectly fitted for the w221
