This 2009 Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG was originally sold by Fletcher Jones Motorcars in Newport Beach, California in October of 2008 and shows only 43k original miles since new. It is finished in Capri Blue Metallic (359) over Brown (514) exclusive leather and powered by a Kleemann ECU-tuned twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 mated to a five-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission. Equipment includes custom forged 20″ 590RS HRE wheels, Distronic Plus cruise control, parking assistance, active bi-xenon headlights, Night View Assist, Keyless-Go, heated and ventilated dynamic front seats, and COMAND infotainment with Harmon Kardon audio. Recent service includes new motor and transmission mounts, new coil packs for the left bank, new voltage converter, new auxiliary battery, new upper radiator hoses, new front brake rotors, and all new brake pads. The car was first registered in California and spent time in Louisiana and Washington State before returning to California in 2015. This CL65 AMG is now offered by the seller with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in Capri Blue Metallic (359) and features AMG-specific sculpted body accents including an AMG front bumper cover, side skirts, and rear diffuser with quad exhaust outlets. Equipment includes a power-operated sunroof, bi-xenon headlights with cornering illumination, and fog lights. Imperfections viewable in the photos include light rock chips across the nose of the car.
Custom 20″ 590RS HRE forged-alloy wheels are wrapped in a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The AMG-specific braking system utilizes cross-drilled rotors and multi-piston calipers at each corner measuring 15.4″ up front and 14.4″ in the rear. The front brake rotors were recently replaced as well as the front and rear brake pads and sensors. A record of that service is viewable in the gallery.
The heated and ventilated multi-contour front seats feature position memory for both passengers and are trimmed in diamond-stitched Brown (514) Exclusive leather with matching door cards, carpeting, dash, and headliner. Burled walnut trim accents the center console, dash, and door. Additional amenities include automatic climate control, an electric rear-window roller blind, Keyless-Go, and COMAND infotainment with a Harmon Kardon sound system. The car is also equipped with blind-spot monitoring, Night Vision Assist, Distronic-Plus cruise control, Parktronic, and a rear-view camera.
The multifunction steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a digital instrument cluster including a 220-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, coolant temperature and fuel level gauges, and onboard diagnostics. The digital odometer indicates 43k miles.
The twin-turbocharged 6.0L V12 was factory rated at 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. This example features a Kleemann ECU tune which raises those figures to 690 horsepower and 845 lb-ft of torque. Maintenance in preparation for the sale includes new motor and transmission mounts, new coil packs for the left bank, new voltage converter, new auxiliary battery, and new upper radiator hoses. An oil and filter service was also completed prior to listing.
The Carfax report lists no accidents and 21 service history records. A minor damage report is listed in 2018 and classified as cosmetic only by Carfax. This CL65 AMG is now offered by the seller with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title.

As the final chassis for the CL-Class models and at that, the last time we'll see a CL65, this car has our attention right out of the gate for several reasons. First, the rarity of this color combination should captivate most buyers as it would be quite rare to run across the same car at the local coffee shop or car show. The majority of these models were produced in silver or black with most outliers being featured in grey. With recent MB news along with worlds production hinderances, it's debatable if another car like the CL65 AMG will be produced in the near future. There's no denying the CL65 AMG is poised to become a future classic and highly collectible. Perhaps this may be the most of all in Capri Blue over Brown leather providing years of enjoyment and endless power on tap for the next lucky owner.
