This 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is finished in AMG Imola Grey Metallic (756) over Porcelain and Black Designo Exclusive leather (565) and is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes AMG Adaptive suspension, staggered-diameter forged wheels, red brake calipers, carbon trim, heated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, COMAND with navigation, and AMG performance media. The car was delivered new to Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte in Pineville, North Carolina at an MSRP of $206,595 with options and was acquired by the selling dealer two years ago. The most recent service consisted of replacing the battery and performing an oil change. This SLS AMG has only 5k miles and is now offered with service records, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The aluminum bodywork is finished in optional AMG Imola Grey Metallic (756), and the car features gullwing doors, bi-xenon headlights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and front and rear parking sensors. Black vinyl was applied to the trim and gas cap door in 2020, and smoked turn signal lenses have been added. In January 2021, clear paint protection film was applied to the front fascia after undergoing a paint correction, and a ceramic coating was subsequently carried out.
Forged 19″ and 20″ AMG wheels were powder coated black and wear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The optional AMG Adaptive suspension features forged aluminum wishbones, and braking is handled by red six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers at the rear.
The cabin is upholstered in Porcelain and Black (565) Designo Exclusive leather with black carpets, an Alcantara headliner, and optional carbon-fiber interior trim. Equipment includes heated power-adjustable seats with position memory, COMAND with navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an AMG performance media system.
The leather and Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel frames a 240-mph speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer with nested fuel-level and oil-pressure gauges, and a digital multifunction display. Just over 5,100 miles are shown on the digital odometer.
The 6.2-liter M159 DOHC V8 is equipped with a dry-sump lubrication system and was factory rated at 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The battery was recently replaced, and an oil change was performed in anticipation of the sale.
The window sticker lists original delivery to Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte along with factory colors, optional equipment, and a total retail price of $206,595.
The Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and shows history in North Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and California.
Startup and Walkaround footage of the car is viewable below.
A few years ago, the market was baffled by a relatively low demand for the SLS AMG. Articles talking about their affordability hailed it as the time to strike and the perfect position for a future-collectible AMG... boy were they right. The SLS AMG as a complete model has since seen a significant increase in values across the board, but these coupes can still command $100k+ more than their topless brethren. As the first fully-AMG engineered car of the modern era, the SLS has only gained value, respect and somehow become even more strikingly beautiful. Combine the experience with low production numbers, a dry sump V8, and a hint of 1950’s styling cues of the infamous 300SL and a winner was born. Finding a low-mile example in something other than black or white makes this an even more desirable find. Rest assured this one will not stay price-stagnant through the years... it’s an excellent investment that will pay dividends in both dollars and donuts.

@2plus2 Exactly, the car was paint corrected meaning The car had a very intense detail and then applied a ceramic coating on top and then the paint protection film added covering the front of the car. Lastly a ceramic coating was applied on top of the PPF. Surface scratches are normal on any car and a great detail ensures that is no longer. I did this detail when I purchased the car. Cosmetically and mechanically this vehicle is up-to-date and needs nothing but a new owner. (This was about $3000 to do in order to ensure the car is cosmetically perfect). I am OCD about my cars!

@Emark Some progress to be made-hopefully we allocate a buyer today! Goodluck.
@Endever Don't think there's any paint work on this car. The listing says the car was "paint corrected" which is essentially just a buff and polish before having clear protection film applied (snd that's not cheap to do)
@Endever The vehicle has a paint protection film over the paint in order to prevent any rock chips or any damage to the front of the car. The car has not been painted.
Description says paint correction!!
@Endever did I miss something in the listing? Was the vehicle repainted?
Are we close?
What exactly was repainted???
