This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 380SL has 48,068 miles and is powered by a 3.8-liter V8 engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Signal Red (568) over Gray leather (258), the car also has a color-matched removable hard top and Black soft top. Factory equipment on this SL roadster includes automatic climate control, cruise control, fog lights, a powered adjustable side view mirror, Becker Grand Prix head unit, and power windows. This R107 remains completely original and displays exceptionally well both in-person and photos, and is now being offered by the selling dealer with the factory hardtop, clean Carfax, and a clean Indiana title.
This twin-row timing chain M116 3.8-liter V8 was rated at 155 horsepower and 196 lb-ft of torque when new. Inside the engine bay presents a tidy appearance, congruent with the remainder of the cars aesthetic. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. An oil and filter change was recently performed in preparation for the sale. A factory set of silver 14” Bundt wheels are wrapped in Hankook tires measuring 205/70 all around.
A brief walkaround video of the car is viewable below.

@iamthejd77 I have no idea, but I will check if any of my other MB cars has VPC QC stickers.

I've never seen one of those VPC QC stickers on the windshield. @cmscollect (or anyone else) any idea when these were put on cars or what they were recording? Seems like a fun nerdy detail.

@iamthejd77 Confirmed per the seller the wood is original in this car. I was actually fortunate enough to see this car in person and it is in amazing condition.
It is original .

I've owned several 107's and the 380, while a little slower on the uptake compared to the 560 is an absolute pleasure at cruising speed. Perfect country roads car- Is the wood original or refinished? (It looks great if original)

Huge plus that this is the first year for the double-row timing chain. The single-row was the achilles heel for the earlier R107s and the condition of this one is impressive considering it's actually original.

This is one of the cleanest R107s I've come across. I've searched through countless listings and this one is checking a lot of boxes.

I'm much more of a 129 fan-atic but this is a strikingly beautiful car!
