The cabin is upholstered in rare designo Blue leather (502) seating with silk beige door cards and inserts. Features include heated and ventilated active multicontour front seats and heated/ventilated rear seats with recline function. Designo brown sunburst myrtle wood trim adorns the center console, dashboard, doors and front seatbacks. Additional amenities include COMAND with navigation, a Burmester premium surround sound system, ambient lighting, a 360° camera view, and front and rear parking sensors. The Driving Assistance Package adds Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control, active blind spot assist, and active lane keeping assist.
The multifunction wood steering wheel features shift paddles and leather. The digital instrument panel displays an analog-style 160-mph speedometer and tachometer with various driver selected screens and settings. The digital odometer indicates 33k miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The twin-turbocharged 4.7-liter M278 V8 was factory rated at 449 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, which is delivered to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists consistent dealer service visits during its one-owner history in the metro Milwaukee area. This rare designo S550 is now offered in San Diego with manufacturer’s literature, two keys, a clean Carfax report and a clean Wisconsin title.

For more than half a century the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been the pinnacle of luxury, safety, status, and ingenuity as the benchmark by which every other manufacturer measures their flagship sedans. Every iteration of the S-Class receives notable improvements over the prior generations and even as the new models are released, these W222 chassis cars make it seem as though perfection has already been achieved. Facts aside, this specific S550 is an absolute winner with its one owner history, low miles and absolutely stunning (and rare) designo color combination. Correct me, please. I thought the Burmeister 3D system had the dial-out speakers on the corner of the front windows as well as the ceiling mounted speaker?
