@Alexvc Unfortunately no service records. I know the car, the prior owner was an older couple, the husband passed away about 2 years ago, and the wife decided to recently sell the car. She was unable to locate any records except for the title.

@Alexvc Not much information online as to what the factory thickness should be. A close examination of the car leads us to believe that the paint is original. The car was detailed, however not paint corrected in preparation for sale

We We will also be sending both a cold start and idling video to be uploaded as well. Some additional details regarding this vehicle, it has been garage kept its entire life. Original owners manual is included along with first aid kit, jack and tool kit. The tool kit is still in the sealed plastic bag. There is an extra set of floor mats. We replaced both the battery and hood liner. There are no cracks in the dash and the wood trim.

The following link gives some insight to VIN location: https://classicregister.com/id-guides/info-guide-1986-1989-mercedes-r107-560sl On US / Canadian spec cars, the VIN appeared in the following locations: The VIN plate, riveted to the driver’s side door jamb / rear pillar (just below the lock mechanism – see images). On the radiator support panel, the same chassis number will be stamped into the panel. Stickers were placed on several metal panels from the 1987 year onwards, confirming the chassis number (additional theft prevention).
@StevieboyWe paint metered the entire vehicle and found no evidence of any area(s) being repainted. We do not know what happened to the VIN sticker you referred to, we do know that the car was detailed prior to us acquiring it
