@mercedesmikeit will not be water tight by any means or even close to water tight. I was only keeping the glass around for a template of plexiglass inserts. You will need a good cover if it is outside
@mercedesmikeyes I will provide the wiper assembly
@ABLathamno further parts would be included. I do have spare parts from other 202’s that could be negotiated with the auction winner
@Merc2000 I will be attempting to obtain a title which will most likely be a salvage title. I never went through with all the paperwork when I purchased it since it was always intended to be a track car. If I am granted a salvage title one could go through their states process to make it street legal again.
@mercedesmikecable and hardware still in place
@mercedesmikeyes I do have the wiper assembly still
@joeman100the same as a W210 E55
@mercedesmikejust track days
Just wanted to highlight that this car has undergone the W202 front end rebuild of steering shock, lower control arm bushings, ball joints, idler gear, and drag link replacement back before the engine was swapped. This is an unbelievable quick car on the track and surprises a lot of people. My plan was to do a manual swap which would have been the next thing on the list if I kept the car. This is a great base for a MB enthusiast to get into road racing. Happy to answer any questions you all may have.
@Stuttgart_SteelI have a black C43 with the same swap set up as a track car that I will be selling after this. That one rips!
@Stuttgart_Steelnight and day difference, close to another 100 ft/lb under your foot
@GeneGthey will not come with the sale but I will make a deal if the new owner does want them.
@elypsyoprior to my ownership so I have no details.
@elypsyothey are practically brand new.(maybe 1000 miles if that) No dry rot or cracks as the car is stored in a climate controlled garage with no exposure to sunlight.
Whoever the winning bidder is will most likely get some additional parts that I have acquired over the years. Thank you everyone for your interest!
I wanted to make some comments on the overall engine build. I sourced an engine for a 210 E55 where it was stripped down to the bare block. The main bearings, rod bearings, and piston rings were replaced after a thorough inspection of the rotating parts. The cylinder heads were stripped down and ported by a local race shop which included a 3 angle valve job. All valve springs were checked prior to head reassembly and all other clearances were measured on the block and cylinder heads. The secondary air injection ports were cleaned out and resealed. The intake manifold was separated, cleaned and lubricated from the inside. The timing chain, guide rails, EGR Valve, water pump, thermostat, chain tensioner, belt tensioner, and pulleys were replaced along with a new radiator and engine/trans mounts. Naturally all other small seals, gaskets, etc were replaced with new if it came apart for any reason. All factory parts were used and all of this is included in the documentation with the vehicle. Almost 10K in parts alone at employee prices!
@elypsyostock C43 exhaust system. All original
@Parker567Dadthank you! I really enjoyed building it. Once I sell a few more from my fleet I will be ready to build the next cool car!
@lowphat88ME 2.0
@lowphat88yes the two tone interior is still in my possession. The transmission in the car had a factory reman installed right before I bought it. It has been serviced regularly since my ownership. AC system is in good working order. All the vacuum elements behind the dash were also replaced. I also have a black suede headliner and sunroof shade in great shape that will go along with the sale.
I’ve gotten a few PMs asking if this is the car from Caffeine and Octane’s video of my AMG collection, so in case anyone else is interested - yes, this is the car from that video. The hatshelf and doors have dynamat installed, with all four doors having 2 layers (inner and outer). With this, road noise is reduced and sound quality of the Bose sound system is enhanced. The doors feel like they belong to a W140 chassis.
@cavanokit was not a down to the frame respray, but all exterior pieces (hard parts and trim) were removed for the respray. All trim, rubber seals, gaskets, headlights, fog lights, tail lights, door handles, windshield etc were replaced when it went back together. The shocks were not replaced during the spring install simply because there were no leaks, the ride quality was there, and when the springs were installed I replaced the spring buffers with larger ones. I wanted the stiffness of the springs with a slightly lower stance without compromising overall ride quality. Everything was done using OEM parts.
@MManfit surely does and especially if you turn off ESP!
Hello all, this was a very fun build for me and I’m hoping it will find a good home. Good luck everyone!
