@jfree97 I'd love to be able to show the car but had to go out of town until Friday unfortunately. I did get a driving video added prior to leaving which is added and also showed the car then as well.
I had a request to add pictures showing around the wheel wells and under the weather stripping on the doors to ensure no rust. They are now in the gallery. The car has no rust anywhere and has always been garaged. I also took a driving video as well. Thanks for the interest and questions!
Thank you to all who've sent messages, contacts, and bids so far. This has been an incredibly fantastic car to own and I'm confident the next owner will be very pleased. I'm happy to answer any questions and appreciate everyone checking out my wagon!
@skarthurI switched to the traditional spring and shock setup after the car drove over a railroad crossing and one of the ties were loose so it popped up and damaged the rear suspension. I consulted several friends/fellow MB wagon owners who have done the conversions and decided to go that route per their feedback. We've been very happy with it.
I'd be interested in giving an offer.
Hello, @seller Nice example. Car is described as Automatic, I see a clutch pedal and a floor shifter. Is this is a special set up or? Second Question: Are the Zenith Carbeurators orginal to the car? Thank you Thank you
Looks nice, a few questions: Have the electronic systems CAN bus component such as the automatic climate control, and seat memory modules been addressed? This model used the infamous biodegradable insulation, which deteriorated from heat and age, has that been replaced or is it original? On the 4-speed automatic transmission (722.3) does it harsh shift or is there any vacuum-related issues by not finding the reverse or forward gears when cold? Thank you. Manskraft
Was the Swirl flap motor replaced or deleted?
Well said, the beautiful part of Car Culture is everyone has an opinion and everyone is right. Super nice W126 though.
Great Seller, Great Car but putting lowering springs on a 560 SEL and putting a rake on it is IMHO distasteful. It is not some Buick Regal or '64 Impala going down Van Nuys or Whittier Blvd. Super nice car, just not with a rake on it....It is NOT an AMG, leave it original, might bid but will have to restore to original.
Quote to ship to Redondo Beach, CA please? Please also include what type of shipping (DHL, FedEx or UPS) WILL NOT DO ANY TYPE OF POSTAL SERVICE.
What is that emblem on the steering wheel? Can you include the original or just simply remove it and reinstall the original equipment? Thank you
So you advertise the car as a 2000 but in your description you state "This 2001 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG was sold new in New Jersey with subsequent registrations noted in Ohio, Tennessee, and Illinois. It currently shows 157k miles and a clean history." Secondly, When was the upper rear window spoiler (wind deflector) installed? Some pics show the car having it installed and some do not. Can you elaborate? Thank you
Yellow is tough to sell , let alone a White Top. Do not care if Obama, Saddam or Santa Clause owned it before, has no meaning, unless you are a past movie nerd or into that kind of thing I think It should have sold. Now where are you going to list it, everyone knows the car now.
Strong buy. Nice SUV and if taken care of well with roll many more happy miles, Congratulations!
How do we know if it runs?
Seller, Nice Cabrio. Being that it is a 1993 Frame do you have any receipts and knowledge if the Bio Degradable Engine and Electronic Wiring Harness has been exchanged for the new version? This was a recall to nearly all "91's-94"s and some '95' Then it was remedied to those who took it into the Dealer. Also, Canadian Specs came with a different Catalyst and O2 Sensor. Can you confirm this is a 50 State of 49 State Car? You would find this under the hood or in door jamb with what is called a BAR Adhesive or another adhesive that overrides the VIN wit BAR Adhesive (Bureau of Automotive Repairs) Perhaps you can take a picture of the door jamb and also the Radiator Cowling. I know it is a lot of information but perhaps others might want to know as well. I plan on driving this from Jersey back to L.A. so if you have something to declare, please do it now. Engine mounts, Transmission mounts, brakes, top in working order etc. A video would help. Manskraft Thanks you
Yes it was. Bam!
When's the knock out punch coming?
@KcoglianoLooking at it now, it was NOT this car, a different one.
Ahh, it's back. Now here on The MB. Didn't take long :-)
Question, why is the wood trim on the "hidden" cup holder different than the remainder of the interior? Replacement? Can you confirm if the over engineered cup holder still functions properly? Thx
What is the shipping cost to Redondo Beach, CA 90277 USA?
@BenzAddict and @crafty Can someone clarify if this is a CDI or in fact a BlueTec with DEF? thx
