I've been incredibly impressed with mine ('01 E430 designo silver edition) and have seriously thought about buying another even though I have absolutely no need for another car. The build quality is more in line with older Mercedes (for the most part), it's decently quick for its time, the handling is great (previous owner sorted out the suspension and had new Bilstein B4s put on just before I bought mine), and I'm getting 22-23 mpg on highway drives.
