@fredtgaI have sold several imports to California buyers, even JDM cars and have passed smog, I think it's better for @Jgrey86 to consult with his Smog expert in his area about it. The Smog official will have the actual truth. I know that everything that is on the Internet is true, but asking the guy that will pass the car in California is the sensitive thing to to.
@Jgrey86we are in Florida, don’t know about California. You will need to talk to your Smog guy. Car seems to be all stock. We haven’t performed any service prior to listing, we are giving it away to the winner of the auction to help the fundraiser of the charity.
@Pierce350you can pay for shipping, its for a good cause
@LT77The AMG certificate is called a Conversion Confirmation, and states that this car was originally converted by AMG, in period to the Specification mentioned, in this case a 500SEL 5.4. These cars were driven and the engines worn out, nothing unusual with this, even 4-cam engines wear out. So, to be clear, it is an original AMG modified car in period... period The seller went above and beyond to preserve the car with all available options he had and spared no expense to make this car as original and wonderful as it is. @blueridgeMB well said. As per the Ferrari Classiche process and any Colombo engine that has been repaired and overhauled, you can source internals from GTO Engineering and other suppliers. It is still a Colombo built engine, and it still has the correct stampings, as this AMG Certified car. @AMG5pt4 you will surely miss this car.
This an exceptional pre-merger car. Its hard to find that level of documentation and evidence of a car. The 5.4 power plant from AMG delivers excellent power output, throttle response and an incredible flexibility from traffic conditions to Autobahn pace on the highway. We were privileged to be able to help verify this car for the AMG Classic Conversion Confirmation certificate, a program for which we offer to clients in the US, including technical, archival and mechanical verification needed for the certificate. Love to see the spirited bidding action by known connoisseurs and proven successful bidders in this platform and the classic car community in general. The winner will take a fantastic car, from a meticulous and detail oriented caregiver.
@MSerpeYes! and we have another of the 13 500GE 6.0 made, which by the way is very consistent to this one running now. @rattytubes no issue importing a car older than 25 years in the US if you bid. We have done it over 300 times over, and if you are in still in California you can get a Montana LLC. Would live to see this one come to the US, either with us or the very lucky winner of this extremely rare AMG Benz. GLWA.
We have 2 extraordinary cars from @Tino in the collection, an S70 AMG and an SL73S Brabus. This SOHC Hammer-G is an AMG not to be missed!
We have just lowered the reserve!, this car will sell today and we will be passing the torch to a next caregiver. Good luck bidding!!

@1976w123as we move everything to our new 50k sq ft museum building in Fort Lauderdale, and are assembling the largest exhibit of Youngtimer Mercedes Benz in the world, we are faced with the reality that not all of the 290 cars we own fit in the new building. We have been sharing a limited selection of cars of our collection with the community in the market through MB Market, Plushauto.com and others for some time now. People have been asking for this for a while, and now this is a limited chance to own a great car and part of Patina’s effort to save these extraordinary cars from all over the planet for the future. This is one of our four Evos, and most likely, the most interesting one for a collector looking into a car with a fascinating story and is interested in doing a light restoration, or keeping it in its current condition.
@tck_hmmrcar spent extended periods of time in storage, many times over years, yet MOT and registrations were kept active
@CarwizThanks! the speedo is original as stated by the paperwork
Thanks for checking out our auction! While we have more 300 rare modified Mercedes in our Museum, we have decided to release a few of our non-modified cars onto the market to provide the best experience to our guests. That being said we are proud to have this number 247/502 EVO II as our first official listing on MB Market. Now you can own a piece of DTM History that comes with an amazing story behind it. Hope to see you all soon at the museum in Florida, and Happy Bidding!

@MileHighoh yes!
@Amine78Hello, yes! it can be shipped world wide. Currently shipping rates to Europe orbit around USD 2500 plus destination charges, depending the shipper, date, and whether it goes in a consolidation or alone in a container.
@Jhoaggsome of our most favorite cars in the collection are RHD such as the Echigoya 124 and the Koenig 107. It takes a few minutes to get the hang of it on the road. There are RHD cars registered for the road all over the 50 states, mostly because of the Japanese imports lately. There aren’t many RHD Benzes available, so this presents a great opportunity to own a rare car stateside and also help a good cause.
@JayH your question is incomplete and leads to a misunderstand of condition of the car. It refers to the head unit of the COMAND system (radio of the sound system) that needs to be replaced by the auction winner. Actual quote from the listing is "The seller notes the head unit will need to be replaced" and it is in the context of the sound system. The engine and transmission are both strong.
@jim9 Spare tire seems to be original and unused. Please refer to the listing description and thorough photo album regarding the sound system and detailed condition. MBM allows potential bidders to DM sellers as well
@Static50 Traditionally a purchase price that is "above market" can be considered a 501 C3 donation however please consult with your tax professional.
@kokolomoush thank you, and it's for a great cause too.
