This authentic Zender body kit was manufactured for the R107 Mercedes-Benz SL-class. The sale includes a complete body kit consisting of front and rear bumpers, side door moldings, and two separate sets of side skirts. Original Zender logos are seen on the side skirts and none of the pieces have been mounted to a car according to the seller. This R107 body kit is now being offered by the seller in Staten Island, NY.
This R107 Zender body kit is finished in the original primer and has reportedly never been mounted to a car. It’s offered as a complete kit that shows some wear. Authentic Zender stamps can be seen on the skirts with close-up photos available in the gallery. Minor chipping, scratches, and stress imperfections are shown in the kit which can be repaired during paint.
The body kit was offered by Zender exclusively for the R107 and fits any SL-class produced from 1972 to 1989. A photo has been provided below showing a finished Zender kit installed.
A welcome addition to any R107, this Zender body kit offers a stylish look that perfectly complimented the spirit of the 70's and 80's. For most R107 owners, the SL was the pinnacle of luxury roadsters on the market. The R107 isn't often thought about from a tuning perspective when compared to the likes of the W/C126, but a kit like this, after a little TLC, is bound to remind anyone of what 80's German tuning was all about. Not only is this kit extremely rare, but once installed it breathes a whole new life into any SL. With values of classic tuner MB's on the rise, this could prove to be a very wise investment to complete that special project.
