The W/S123 Wagons have achieved a cult status that seems to truly transcend marques. Their incredibly stout build quality and legendary longevity are masked behind a friendly face that wins approving nods from nearly all perceptive passers-by. While many may chalk this adoration up to nostalgia - sourced of the mind’s eye from those of us who grew up riding in the back of these trusty tri-stars – the 300TDT wagon is more than just a party trick. These loveable long-haulers boast bank vault build quality, timeless styling and everyday economical usability with the OM617; provided you’re not in too much of a hurry, of course. These long roof examples have more than quadrupled their value in the last decade and this example, finished in a classic Manila Beige, offers the perfect opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic cars produced by Mercedes-Benz.

@HC_4 No worries. Sure thing.
@mbdiesels sorry I was on my cell and miss typed body. thanks for your reply.
@HC_4 No oil leaks on the ground when left parked. The Car spent almost its entire life in Ca. It doesn’t have any rust.which you can verify by viewing the underneath photos in the gallery with the car on the lift. Please clarify “boad” in your comment, thinking it’s a typo.
any oil leaks or spots left on the ground after leaving it sitting overnight? I think you mentioned the boad specifically, but is there any significant rust on the frame or under the car?

@acd76 Yes, $8k from March 2020 until now. The Michelin Harmony tires had old date codes so the current owner did replace them with new tires. For some reason they gave him an older set of new tires. They were not used at the time.
@ Seller: Thank you. So, the advert above is incorrect--current owner did not purchase in 2021, but rather in March 2020 from you (who is representing the seller), who purchased it in January 2020. Two other points of clarification please: (1) "Service documents from current ownership totaling over $8k of work are viewable in the photo gallery below." This is $8K spent between his acquisition in March 2020 to current, correct? And (2), the BaT listing shows it had a matching set of Michelin Harmony tires. Now, it wears "a set of General Altimax tires which measure 195/70 and show 2018 date codes". As the tires were replaced at some point during the seller's ownership (March 2020 - Current), did the seller install used tires on the car?
@acd76 I purchased it in 2020 and sold it to the current owner two months later. Yes, the bid on bringatrailer did not meet the reserve and we made a deal afterwards. When he decided to sell, he asked me if I would represent him in the sale.
@ Seller: Can you please clarify. Your remarks below start with "I acquired it"... "I brought it to Maryland in 2020"...then the next paragraph talks about "the seller"..."he deemed it was time". Are you one in the same? Also at the top of this advert, it states "was acquired by the current owner in 2021". So...did you purchase in 2020 or 2021? Also, referring to March, 2020, when this was for auction on BaT (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-mercedes-benz-300td-turbo-19/), that owner states they "recently acquired by the seller from its second reported owner". Are you that same person?
Hello and welcome to the auction of this classic and rare color combination wagon. I acquired it from the second owner who purchased it in 1999. It spent its entire life in Ca. until I brought it to Maryland in 2020. I bought it with the intentions of enjoying it for a short while and then passing it on to its next steward. It then spent the next 3 years well taken care of, driven only on nice days and garaged. Since then the owner has purchased a W116 diesel, began working overseas on and off, and expecting a new baby, all while garaging two vehicles in Manhattan. So he deemed it was time to pass this steed on. If you have any questions or would like to see it/drive it in person or have it inspected, just let me know.
