@ Seller: Thank you. So, the advert above is incorrect--current owner did not purchase in 2021, but rather in March 2020 from you (who is representing the seller), who purchased it in January 2020. Two other points of clarification please: (1) "Service documents from current ownership totaling over $8k of work are viewable in the photo gallery below." This is $8K spent between his acquisition in March 2020 to current, correct? And (2), the BaT listing shows it had a matching set of Michelin Harmony tires. Now, it wears "a set of General Altimax tires which measure 195/70 and show 2018 date codes". As the tires were replaced at some point during the seller's ownership (March 2020 - Current), did the seller install used tires on the car?
@ Seller: Can you please clarify. Your remarks below start with "I acquired it"... "I brought it to Maryland in 2020"...then the next paragraph talks about "the seller"..."he deemed it was time". Are you one in the same? Also at the top of this advert, it states "was acquired by the current owner in 2021". So...did you purchase in 2020 or 2021? Also, referring to March, 2020, when this was for auction on BaT (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-mercedes-benz-300td-turbo-19/), that owner states they "recently acquired by the seller from its second reported owner". Are you that same person?
@ Seller: You are 100% correct, my apologies. Auction site incorrectly states "The six-digit odometer currently shows 51k miles from new with 1800 miles added by the current owner in the past two years." Whereas current (2nd) owner purchased 4 years ago and at most has put 1,043 miles on it (51,220 - 50,177 which was last reported mileage before sale). Thank you again fr your clarification.
@ Seller: This seems to be your 1st listing on this auction site. I assume you are the same "Motorsport1821" on BaT, and owner of Azael Motorsport. Why would one selling dealer (owner) enlist the help of another selling dinner to sell their car? Just trying to understanding the relationship. Gorgeous car by the way...
@ Seller: Can you please confirm--the current owner is the selling dealer who purchased the car in October 2019 and has a lien against the title? Original owner through October 2019 then to selling dealer as the second owner. Seems a bit odd for a dealer to have a lien against a title 4 years later.
@ Seller: Thank you for your replies. I would have assumed the cluster was changed as it was originally a euro-spec car hence would have had to had a cluster with kilometers. Regardless of miles, still looks great. Though I will dispute that "all the 4 tires are like brand new" given they are more than 14 years old. At least a new set is relatively inexpensive less than $400 out the door.
Also, I assume this is not the original instrument cluster as it would have been in kilometers. Do you know when the replacement one was installed, which now says 80K? Thank you.
Seller--can you please answer question from Oct 10, what are the date codes on the tires?
@mateen--sorry but I don't think that is how this process works.
These paint measurements are a bit different than when measured for the PCARMARKET Auction 6 months ago. Looks like same tool used. Perhaps just variations in the paint?
Hello--can you please comment regarding a 2nd owner effective 10/05/2021? Thank you.
