The driver seat side bolster shows a tear and the headliner in the hardtop is noted as being recently replaced.
The instrument cluster features a 160-mph speedometer along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The digital odometer is mounted in the center and currently reads just under 80k miles.
This two-seat roadster is powered by a 3.2-liter M104 inline-six which is rated for 229 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Recent maintenance items include an engine oil and filter change along with a transmission fluid flush and filter. The wiring harness has been replaced with an updated unit which shows a tag dated 2014.
The Carfax report shows registration history in Texas, Maryland and Arizona including linear mileage reports and regular service visits. No accidents or damage reports appear on the Carfax. The R129 was a big step in the SL lineage, both in terms of styling and technology. This design is emblematic of the 90’s Bruno Sacco era which included hits such as the W124 and W140. While most know the R129 from the SL500 where it was paired with the M119 V8, the SL320 used the M104 inline-six which shaved 150lbs, mostly off the front axle, providing more nimble steering and sportier handling. The M104 was famous for smooth power delivery thanks to double overhead cams and 4 valves per cylinder and provided peak power at 5,600 rpm. @djclassics thank you!@tcstraker Good morning: The plastic is fine on the soft top, the threading is coming loose, probably from laying inside for too long. The car does come with a brand new OEM soft top in the box. The tires have a date code of 0607 (2007) The car was not driven much from the previous owner, only weekend drives. Its a nice ride!@chillywill67 beautiful car. I can't tell in photos...is the plastic coming off the black canvas of the top, or is that an illusion? Does the car have two keys?
