The exterior is finished in Brilliant Emerald Metallic (269) and features a front brush bar, black roof rails and a trailer hitch. Exterior equipment includes remote central locking, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, power-adjustable heated door mirrors and molded mud flaps front and rear. Minor scratches are visible on the body along with dents in the brush bar with the seller reporting no signs of rust. The seller also notes that a ceramic coating was recently completed. The paint is believed to be original with paint meter readings provided by the seller in the photo gallery.
The four spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Digital instrumentation consists of an outside temperature sensor, a digital clock, a trip meter and a digital odometer which currently shows 123k miles.
This M-Class is powered by a 4.3-liter M113 V8 which produces 268 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case using a permanent all-wheel drive system. The seller reports a minor leak from the oil pan gasket. An engine oil change was performed by the seller in June 2023 in preparation for the sale.
This car was sold new in Connecticut before moving to California with its original owner shortly thereafter. The Carfax report shows linear mileage updates from new with four owners and extensive service reports. No accidents or damage reports are present. Hello everyone, as the final hours of the auction come to a close, I will be online to answer any last minute questions. I'd also like to add that the ML has new tires with late 2021 date codes, and almost 100% tread. In addition, it's been retrofitted with facelift xenon headlights. I'll also include a spare set of carpet mats and all weather mats in the sale as well. Hello everyone, my name is OddballCarGuy, but I also go by Andrew. Listed above is my 1999 Mercedes ML430. During the course of my ownership, I've absolutely fallen in love with the ML w163 platform, and found that it has been the perfect combination of agility, comfort, size, and speed, along with a near bomb-proof m113 v8 and 5 speed. I'm sure many owners can attest to that as well. The previous owner of the car serviced it exceptionally well at a top rated euro mechanic in Sacramento, with many records listed on the CarFax. In addition, he put on new tires before he sold the car, and retrofitted facelift xenon headlights. As many of you know, most w163s today have been beaten within an inch of their lives, so nice examples with good service history are exceptionally rare nowadays, especially pre-face lift examples with original paint. This one thankfully is one of the few remaining survivors, and is ready to go to a new home.
