This 2000 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor Special Edition was sold new to the current owner and seller in March of 2000 and shows Oregon registration with 120k miles on the odometer. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Two-tone Orion Gray Nappa Leather (258), power is provided by a 2.3-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a Sport Package with sport styling, interior and sport-tuned suspension, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, power adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and remote central locking. The car is modified with C43 AMG springs and matching Bilstein shocks. The included records and Carfax show 41 past records and the most recent maintenance includes an oil/filter service, new power steering hoses, brake fluid flush, and a new blower motor. This C230 Kompressor Special Edition is now offered for sale by the original owner with complete records, an original window sticker, two original keys, two sets of floor mats, the original tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features sport styling with monochromatic body trim, Sport package-specific carbon-look B-pillar trim and sport badges. Exterior features include heated power mirrors with an auto-dimming passenger side, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, remote central locking and integrated front fog lamps. The seller notes a previous repair to the left fender due to damage from the wheel. The repairs were performed by a Mercedes-Benz authorized body shop.
The Sport Package includes the addition of 16” six-spoke alloy wheels finished in silver which have been fitted with new tires measuring 205/55 on all four corners showing date codes from 2021. The original Sport-tuned suspension has been replaced with C43 AMG springs and matching Bilstein shocks. The original springs will be included in the sale. A spare tire can be found mounted below the trunk floor along with the original tool kit.
The cabin is trimmed in two-tone Orion Gray Nappa Leather (258) and features a grey headliner with blzck pillars, matching carpets and floor mats while carbon-look sport trim lines the center console and door panels. The front sport-contoured seats offer 10-way power adjustability for both driver and passenger. Additional interior amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, cruise control and a sport steering wheel. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats allow for through loading. The electric seats controls are noted to work intermittently.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames ivory gauges including a 160-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer, along with gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Digital instrumentation includes a digital clock, an outside temperature sensor and a digital odometer which currently shows 120k miles, all of which have been added by the current owner and seller.
This W202 is powered by a 2.3-liter supercharged inline-four which is factory rated at 185 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed "touch-shift" automatic transmission. The included records and Carfax show 41 past records and the most recent maintenance includes an oil/filter service, new power steering hoses, brake fluid flush, and a new blower motor. The seller notes the valve cover gasket is seeping and will need replaced soon.
The Carfax report shows one owner in Oregon from new with linear mileage updates and no accidents or damage reports. Now showing 120k miles, this C230 Kompressor Special Edition is now offered for sale with complete records, an original window sticker, two original keys, two setas of floor mats, the original tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.

@Dec1184 Happy that you wound up winning the auction! We'll sort out the logistics soon; should be easy since we're both in the PDX metro area.
That was pretty exciting! Looking forward to bringing her home and into the garage!

@GregoryB I’ve had 4 of the c280 class. My ‘99 was black on black with headlight wipers totaled by an elderly drunk man. My 2000 was the same color as yours including the two toned interior. That one was totaled by hurricane Sandy. The other gave to my daughters. I loved all of them. I’m rolling in an ML now but I know a classic when I see one. Looks well kept especially the interior. Good job! Well I better get off this fence before I fall - in love again, LOL! Hope your bidding goes well. If it doesn’t hit me up I’ll clear up the garage!
@Dbnzlvr Well, there are of course transport options available to you should you wish to have the car delivered to you. Either way, glad you like it!
I wish this car was on the east coast. It would be in my garage!
@Dec1184 Thank you! The car has lived in the area since we bought it at Rasmussen Wilsonville in 2000. You'll find no food or drink stains in the interior; we don't eat or drink in our cars. It has never seen an automated car wash; only hand washing and regular appearance car inside & out with Griot's Garage products. The blower motor referenced in the listing is for the climate control, not the supercharger. That was replaced a few years ago when the clutch began to fail on it. The parts cost for a clutch rebuild kit was a significant fraction of the cost of an entirely remanufactured supercharger with clutch and the labor cost was the same. I opted to replace the whole unit. Another item replaced within the last few years was a failing MAF sensor. And the A-arm bushings were also done recently for the second time in the car's life. Those are known to last about 50k-60k miles and that's just something to live with owning a W202.
Beautiful example! Being a local enthusiast in Portland, I have a fond appreciation for original PNW cars.

@ClassicSL Yes, the extra aftermarket rims do come with the car. The winter tires on those rims have reached the end of their service life and need to be replaced. That said, the car handles snow with aplomb on proper winter tires and the transmission in Winter mode (see selector switch to the left of shift lever). Winter mode engages a taller reverse gear, starts the car in second gear in Drive, and softens throttle response to manage torque better. The rims could also be used for track tires if desired.
The car looks very clean! Do the extra wheels pictured in the gallery also come with the car?
We are reluctantly selling our beloved C230, but we recently took delivery of a new C300 and don't have garage space for a third car nor affordable options for offsite storage. This one has been garaged its whole life, and we can't bear to see it sitting in the driveway indefinitely exposed to the elements so we would prefer to see it find a new home where it will be loved just as much as we have loved it these last 23 years. The car has the TouchShift 5-speed automatic, which was fitted to the W202 only for the final year of production in 2000. As with all non-AMG cars in that era, it was delivered with conventional oil in the crankcase. This was flushed after the factory break-in period was complete and filled with full synthetic oil. It has had only full synthetic oil since then. The factory head unit has had a radio frequency adapter fitted to the back and tuned to one of the FM presets and has an Apple 30-pin cable in the center armest for an old-style iPod. A suitable connector cable would allow use of a newer one or another MP3 player. A discreet red switch in the center console provides power to the cable.
