This 2005 Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG was sold new in Texas where it remained with its original owner until 2016. The car now resides in Tennessee with the seller who has owned the car since December 2023. Fnished in Black (040) over Anthracite Leather (841), power is provided by a 5.4-liter AMG-tuned M113 V8 paired with a five-speed AMG SpeedShift automatic transmission. Features include heated AMG sport seats, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, dual-zone climate control, auto-dimming mirrors, folding rear seats for through-loading, a rear roller blind, bi-xenon headlights, factory blue tinted glass, and a Harman Kardon Logic7 surround sound system. Recent service in preparation for the sale includes an oil and filter change. This C55 now has 107k miles and is now being offered by the seller in Bristol, Tennessee with a recent Carfax report and a clean Tennessee title.
The exterior is finished in Black (040) and features AMG sculpted front and rear bumpers, side skirts and chromed quad exhaust tips. Exterior features include bi-xenon headlights, fog lamps, a power operated tilt/slide glass sunroof, and factory blue-tinted heat insulating glass. A small quarter inch ding on the roof is documented in the photo gallery and the hood has some touched up rock chips. The seller notes that no rust is present on the exterior of the vehicle. The Carfax notes a damage report in 2017 with severity listed as minor.
Factory staggered 18” AMG dual-ppoke alloy wheels wear Nitto Neo Gen tires measuring 225/40 front and 245/40 rear and show 2020/2021 date codes. Mercedes-Benz center caps are installed and up close pictures of each wheel are provided in the gallery.
The AMG sport seats are trimmed in Anthracite Leather (841) with matching Alcantara accents on the upper seat backs. Both front seats are heated and power adjustable with three-position memory. AMG-specific aluminum trim is found on the center console, dashboard and door panels. Interior amenities include a Harman Kardon Logic7 surround sound system, auto-dimming mirrors, a power tilt/telescope steering wheel, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, an electric rear roller blind and an integrated garage door opener. The leather-wrapped AMG sport steering wheel fronts a 200-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer with a configurable digital display mounted in the center. The digital odometer reads 107,650 miles, 5k of which were added by the seller. Mounted behind the steering wheel are shift buttons which control the AMG SpeedShift function for the transmission.

As a prior two-time owner of W211 E55s, I've always eyeballed these and considered adding one to the stable. I know it's not as quick as the M113K or M156 cars, but I've always admired the simplicity of these with their conventional suspension, smaller stature, and seem like they are fun to bang around in. Might throw my hat in the ring. FYI, the headliners on this era Mercedes always start to sag eventually--some earlier than others--so it's basically an inevitability vs a "if" question.

@Potomac_Pat hi, unfortunately I am out of town and will not be back to measure before the auction ends. I can tell you they have no more than 10k miles on them, they seemed almost brand new when I acquired the car. They are all well above the wear bar. Also, I do not do burnouts or spin tires. The blend doors are great, all HVAC functions including temps are perfect, very hot heat and very cold AC.

Can you provide the tire tread depths for the front and rear? Also, how are the HVAC blend door actuators? Do they work correctly directing air to the mode selected, like the defrost?
@Illmatic96ss they appear to all be original, and I have no reason to think they are replaced. I am out of town for the week and cannot verify that though.
Are all the panels original with matching vin tags on the panels. ?

I had a 2005 Brilliant silver example that was mostly trouble free for several years. The powertrain is stout and pulls great for a 20 year old. Love these and hope it sells well. Will always have a soft spot for my first Mercedes (and first AMG).

@JMRIEGEL Hi, I did not own the car when that happened. From what I can tell it could not have been more than bumper repair. body panels and paint are excellent. And the car tracks perfectly straight. And yes, I do still owe money on the car.
Thanks! Any additional details on the accident? CarFax says ran off into a ditch, any suspension damage? Was anything replaced there or purely cosmetic damage? Also I see a Lien on the CarFax from when you bought it, is there still a Lien on the vehicle?
@JMRIEGEL It does, it had a factory tag bracket on it
Are there holes in the bumper behind the euro plate bracket?
@MercOwner hi, yes I have both original keys that go with it.
Hello, are both keys included?

I can't remember the last time I saw one of these. Seriously underrated cars and willing to just devour hundreds of miles.
This has been a great daily driver for me for the last year/4,500 miles, I would trust this car to go anywhere!
