This 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG was first sold and registered in Grand Blanc, Michigan from Grand Blanc Motorcars where it remained through 2014. Subsequent registrations are noted in Indiana, Florida, and now Houston, Texas. The roadster is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) over Anthracite Leather (211) and powered by a 6.2-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The wheels show well with light curb rash on one wheel and OEM center caps are shown. P30 Performance Package cars came fitted with special brake compounds.
The cabin features power-adjustable seats upholstered in Anthracite Leather (211) and joined by a leather stitched matching dashboard, center console, and door panels. Burl walnut trim adorns the shifter bezel and door panels. Brushed aluminum pools at the navel of the AMG Sport steering wheel flanked by aluminum shifter paddles. Additional amenities include Keyless-Go, multi-contour heated and ventilated seats with memory control, integrated hands-free Bluetooth telephone, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, and Sirius Satellite Radio. The roadster is fitted with OEM Mercedes-Benz velour floor mats in both the driver and passenger footwells.
The multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, two inset digital display screens, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 35k miles.
The 6.2-liter M156 V8 features four valves per cylinder and was rated at 518 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque when new. The included Carfax report shows dealer and Mercedes specialty shop services since new and 22 service records. The most recent service includes an oil service, transmission fluid service, and tires rotated with balancing. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed Speedshift strengthened automatic transmission and an optional AMG Limited Slip Differential that came standard with the P30 Performance Package as well as a raised electronically limited top speed from 155 MPH to a tire limited 186 MPH.

P30 Performance Package cars are a bridge between regular AMGs and Black Series performance. This package was a whopping $12,500 option in 2009, allowing the mad German scientists at Affalterbach to bolt on an AMG designed limited slip differential, forged 19” wheels, track calibrated ABC hydraulic suspension, AMG brake compounds, and a raised top speed that was still limited to 186 MPH. Remember what else was happening in 2009? The Great Recession. Whoever bought this car new was impervious to the economic downfall and checked the P30 Package option, which would net you a new Toyota Yaris in 2009 money. Only 14 SL63 AMGs were configured like this in 2009 making this example incredibly rare. The Carfax reports show consistent oil changes which is the most important thing to look for when buying an M156 engined car. There’s lots of good with this Iridium Silver example, to the original floor mats, the tender care of keeping the window sticker, books, and ancillary accessories, to the original metered paint, and of course that P30 option making this a future collectible.

@Jmoss57 thanks for the comment, there is definitely no leaking, nothing ever on the ground and the car can be parked for weeks at a time. I’ll try to crawl underneath as I’ve never seen what you are commenting on before. I had a mechanic friend place it on the lift for photos and was not under it myself. There has never been warning lights or any indication of a problem.
