Factory 14″ wheels wear 205/70 Michelin X-Radial tires. The tires show dry rotting around the sidewalls and should be replaced before being driven on. Braking is handled by disc brakes at all four corners and a spare full-size wheel and tire is stored in the trunk. The original tool kit is included.
The cabin is trimmed in Gray MB-Tex (138), with color-coordinated trim, carpets, and lower dashboard. The steering wheel, shift knob, and upper dashboard are trimmed in black and remain original. Original Zebrano wood adorns the dashboard, center console, and door card trim. Factory features include a power-operated sunroof, central locking, power seats and windows, and the original Becker head unit. The original Becker audio cassette will be included in the sale. The Zebrano veneer shows well with little wear noted.
A four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 80-mph/140kph speedometer, a 6k-RPM tachometer with an inset analog clock, an external temperature readout, and a combination gauge showing fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit analog odometer shows 25k miles.
The 3.0-liter OM617 turbodiesel inline-five was factory-rated for 120 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. Photos of the engine bay have been included in the gallery along with photos of the stamped service booklet showing the stamped service booklet.
The attached Carfax report lists no accidents or damage. This 300SD shows 25k miles and is offered by the seller with a clean Carfax report, original tool kit, original first aid kit, Becker audio cassette, and a clean Florida title.

Spectacular colors, and all the bits that go bad/can't be replaced are perfect. Keep it well tended and you'll Never lose. Hard to find these anymore... Congrats who ever the next custodian might be!This is the closest thing to a forever car I've ever seen.In picture 120 you will see the the service book with stamps and mileage from 1986 with 15,xxx miles on it. I watched the detail shop meter the paint when I dropped it off to be detailed but I am not sure of the reading. All the detail shop did was a single stage buff and a basic cleaning of the interior. I wish I had more detailed records of this car but I have presented all the information I have. I am 41 years old and I have seen this car my entire life. My uncle use to tell the story that he bought this car as a tax write off for his business and after that he parked it so my aunt one day could sell it for her retirement. The retirement part he would say jokingly. Is there any service paperwork with this that documents the miles? Very common for odometer gears to break in these cars. Could have driven it for an extended period with no miles being added. @Kevinbriem You didn't clarify. Does the engine in fact have over 100,000 miles on it. The one-owner family would know the truth, and not gloss over it, claiming "It shows 25k." Speak plainly sir.@Desert_Rat...not sure what you're implying here. Is there something in particular regarding the engine bay makes you think the mileage is otherwise? Frankly, this is car very much presents as a 25k car. My observation in the engine bay is a small leak from the valve cover. Happens with age regardless of mileage. The gold anodized cladding on fuel lines,oil cap, power steering etc. speak volumes. The steering wheel is pristine and the wood trim is crack free. This car is a time capsule. To answer a few questions from earlier the cruise control does work. With the ac on air blows out the defrost vent when that is selected. When the button with arrow pointing up and down it lightly blows out the dash vents. When the button with the down arrow is pushed air blows strong out the dash vents and does the exact same thing when the ec button is pressed$10,000 bid placed by @Endever
@Coryjcrawford Thanks for the reply, no major rush, you have 7 days left.....You have a helpful community here, so if you can't figure something out, just post a question and we will help you. For the question earlier about the center vent, this is typically the recycled air switch, which allow fresh air into the car, or recycles the air already in the car. On W126 and W123 I think this is the one that says "EC" maybe someone else can chime in... which would be like fresh air, no a/c.Beautiful car. Engine looks like it's a 125k engine, not a 25k engine. One owner family needs to be truthful about that.I'll get back later this afternoon with as many answers as I can. This car belonged to my uncle and he has since passed so i am assisting my aunt in selling it. I am not the most familiar with it but I will do the best I can.@Coryjcrawford Neat car, thanks for putting it up. In the theme of full disclosure, it would be preferred that you test everything on the car and report back on the things that don't work correctly or don't work at all. It should not require someone to ask for every specific thing to then find out that the rear windows don't work, etc. Every old car has its issues, but bidders from afar need to know what they are in order to set the appropriate budget for rectifying them, and to avoid surprises. Front windows do but rear do not Does the cruise control work? I have not checked that but I will get back with you Does the antenna fully extend?
