The exterior is finished in Light Ivory (670) with chrome trim lining the front and rear bumpers, beltline, and windows. The brightwork shows well without damage and the seller has included detailed photos of the exterior and body panel gaps. The body was repainted in the original paint color in 2019 and presents well. The glass is heat-insulated from the factory without aftermarket window tint. The seller shows the sunroof operating in the video and also shows some of the windows do not roll down. The rear passenger door does not open. The antenna does not extend and there is one ding on each side of the rear quarter panels below the rear bumper lines. All of the exterior lights operate as demonstrated in the video.

"More is always better" . . . I 100% agree but no more garage space (all 7 bays full at home) tends to be a challenge for obsessive car people! Plus I have 6 in winter storage!! Maybe I should seek appropriate automotive therapy! This is a lovely 280SEL!!!$11,000 bid placed by @aelkeles

@ctoiii As long as you don't mind a little adventure! We don't have any reason to believe (or suspicion) it would fail the drive BUT there's always a chance with a 56 year old car. That said, this is a top contender on the short list. ThanksSeller any reason to believe you couldn’t fly in and drive this 1000 miles?$8,100 bid placed by @BirchTree

@Mamali Good morning and thank you. no leaks from the sunroof- we've washed the car twice, yes it does operate. No smoke to speak of during our drives and start ups. It's a happy 108.Any leaks from sunroof? Operate? Does the car smoke?$4,196 bid placed by @EnjoyLife69

@GASMotorcars Thank you for the info! Any idea where the car has spent its life?@BryanZurlo Thanks for the note! In image 262 it seems the tow hook was used and the tension separated the panel making a crack. Image 293 details this better. There is also some corrosion seen in picture 262 presumably from water coming in through the crack. And we do see that spot on picture 273. That’s a pretty common area for water to collect on a W108. We don’t see any more signs of rust or we would have photographed it. With over 300 pictures I think we covered all of the car. Let us know if you need anything else uploaded in case we missed something! Thanks for reaching out.On picture 262 there looks to be some rust, hard to tell from the picture, but is it rusted through? Also, there's a rust hole on the rear portion of the wheel well in picture 273, is there any other rust on the car?$3,696 bid placed by @Foti63

Beautiful car. I grew up and learned how to drive on my parents 1965 250S with a stick shift.I really like this car. Long wheelbase W108 with the M130 is a killer combo and all of the interior work done to it is expensive to do. The owner seemed to care for this one. GLWA!$1,750 bid placed by @pr3ach_1hunnit
