This 1974 Mercedes-Benz 280C was acquired by the seller earlier this year and was previously sold on The MB Market in 2022. The coupe is finished in Dark Green over Tan MB-Tex upholstery and powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six M110 engine. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and 69k original miles are shown on the analog odometer. Service records are included in the sale dating more than 30 years back along with the original purchase agreement and window sticker. Recent service includes an oil service and new battery. Features include power windows, manually adjustable seats, air conditioning and the original Becker Europa stereo. This pillarless coupe is now being offered for sale with the original tool kit, spare tire, window sticker and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The exterior of this 280C is finished in Green which received a full respray in 2007. Additional records from the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center accompany the car and show thorough refurbishment. Chrome trim is found along the beltline of the car as well as lining the windows and front and rear impact bumpers. Sealed beam headlights are shown at the front along with separate fog lamps. All glass as well as window seals are reportedly original to the coupe.
Factory 14” steel wheels are fitted with paint-matched hubcaps and wear 215/75 Hankook Kinergy ST tires front and rear. The seller notes that the tires were fitted show good tread life.
The seats are upholstered in Tan MB-Tex along with the door panels and headliner. The interior is said to have been recently reupholstered along with new wood trim and center speaker cover. The original wood trim is still with the seller and will be included with the sale. Interior features include manually adjustable seats with seatbelts, power windows, the original Becker Europa stereo and air conditioning which has recently been refreshed. The seller notes that the passenger seat adjustment lever is cracked.
The black leather-wrapped steering wheel frames the 140-mph speedometer as well as a centrally mounted analog clock and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature and warning lights. The odometer currently reads 69k miles.
The 280C is powered by a 2.8-liter DOHC inline-six engine which produces 158 horsepower at 5,500 rpm. The engine received a full overhaul and rebuild under prior ownership. Power is sent through the rear wheels by a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes a small drip coming from the transmission and additional underbody photos are viewable in the gallery. Recent service includes an oil service and new battery.
This 280C is now being offered for sale with the original tool kit, spare tire, window sticker and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

Hello everyone! With 3 days remaining in this auction, I wanted to highlight the exceptional quality of this stunning W114/W115. This car is truly remarkable, having been lovingly cared for by its previous owners for over 30 years that's proven by the service history. While it's one of my personal toys, space limitations and as my family is growing unfortunately necessitate its sale. Bid with confidence knowing you're acquiring a truly exceptional piece of automotive history. Let me know if you have any questions and Happy Bidding!

@Robertlnm Thank you! It's the Ornamental Cover that just aged and needs to be replaced.
Beautiful MB, great color combo. I may have missed reading, but what is the furry, lint, insulation coming from on center of dashboard?
