The seller has included the following videos:
The R107 is an icon of the 80’s and one of the most recognizable classic cars from Mercedes-Benz. Being produced for 17 years, the V8 version of the R107 in the US started out with a 4.5-liter V8 and eventually graduated to the larger 5.5-liter version starting in 1986. While the R107 continues to solidify its legendary status among a lineage of SL's, R107's in above average mechanical condition are becoming tougher to find than ever with the M117-powered 560SL's leading the way from a collectibility and value standpoint. This example presents exceptionally well and truthfully seems to have seen a very easy and honest 100k miles in its lifetime. Midnight is a rare color to find on one of these and this car appears to be well kept, making it a perfect candidate for a daily driver or weekend cruiser.

Surprising nobody's commented on the paint yet. Rare color and looks like it's in fantastic condition. If I were in the market for a 107, I'd be all over this. Good luck to the seller!

@BlueDevilBill , Thank you for your question regarding the 1988 560SL AC. Yes, I have two quotes for $1k to replace the compressor. When the inoperability was first noticed in 2016, I got a quote for installing new compressor for $1K from a Mercedes specialist. I opted not to install it as I almost always use the 560SL as a convertible and have no need for AC. I got a second quote in July 2023 as I prepped the car for sale. Same $1k quote from a separate Mercedes specialist. I hope this answers your question thoroughly. Fred
Any diagnosis on the inoperative A/C?
