This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300SE is a United States example first sold and registered in California. It was purchased new by the seller’s mother who owned it through 2022 when the seller took ownership. The car is finished in Arctic White (147) over Palomino Leather (264) and is powered by a 3.0-liter M103 inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Recent services include a European headlamp swap, new valve cover gaskets, and a complete fluid check. Amenities include “tempomat” cruise control, power front seats with memory, automatic climate control, and an electric sliding sunroof. The odometer currently reads 110k miles with less than 1000 miles added by the seller. This W126 sedan is now offered by the present owner with a spare set of wheels, factory literature, a tool kit, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The exterior of this short-wheelbase sedan is finished in Arctic White (147) with contrasting Grey lower cladding. Exterior equipment includes European headlamps, chrome-accented bumpers, aftermarket chrome wheel arches, and a power-operated sunroof. According to the seller this example shows original paint and glass with rock chips and light scratches shown across the body in addition to fading paint and rock chips on the front bumper.
The car wears 15” chrome 8-hole wheels wearing Toyo tires showing 2021 date codes and measuring 205/65. A factory full-sized spare is mounted in the trunk along with the OEM tool kit and the original chrome-finished Gullideckel wheels are included in the sale with tires mounted.
The interior is trimmed in Palomino Leather (264) and features matching carpets and door panels. Zebrano wood trim accents the center console, dashboard, and doors of the cabin with fading, cracks, and warping shown. Amenities include “tempomat” cruise control, power front seats, central locks, courtesy/reading lamps for rear passengers, and an aftermarket head unit. The radio is noted to be inoperable and the rear window switches need to be replaced. The leather on the armrest shows some wear and tear.
The airbag steering wheel frames the factory gauge cluster featuring a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, fuel economy, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows approximately 110k miles.
The 3.0-liter M103 inline-six is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Factory-rated output was 177 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. Recent services include a headlamp swap, valve cover gaskets, and a complete fluid check. The air conditioning will need to be converted to R134a and the Carfax report shows some service records.
The Carfax report lists no accidents or damage and registration exclusively in California. This W126 sedan is now offered by the present owner with a spare set of wheels, factory literature, a tool kit, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

Definitely the deal of the day!!
Great buy!
I understand the headlight wiper blades are lost, but do they work? If I found replacements, does the mechanism work?

The wiperarms were there but got lost when guys put the European headlights new on it, never used them , it shifts good also in rear, suspension its driving like a tank very straight strong, it had a smogtest this year which it passed without any problem, I am 2nd owner but car was at first from mother since she passed away it stayed in family since then few years ago it was outside before it was garaged, seats are very nice for its age also carpet , headliner, middle hood consol in wood has been replaced(250.00), dash has no cracks You will notice that car is very original and low mileage car.
The car is missing both headlamp wiper arms. Are the wipers just missing and need to be replaced or do the wiper motors not work? Does the head lights wiper wash work (spray)?

When fid the vehicle last pass state inspection? Are any service codes present?
How is the suspension and ride quality? Any clunking? Do you know if the shocks and ball joints have ever been replaced? Any fluid leaks? How does the transmission shift? Does it take a moment to go into reverse? Also, about the interior: I'm guessing this car was parked in the sun for a good chunk of its life, is that a fair guess? Apart from the torn rear speaker cover visible in the photos, what else might need some TLC?
