@mmalinaa The condition appears excellent on this car...even the cloth (which wears fast) and the bolsters look amazing. To imply this car might have 2x-3x the miles simply goes against logic and the evidence in the photos. These older MBs have odometers that break all the time. It may have a few more but the condition tells the tale here. Excellent presentation, seller. Good Luck!

The main ODO is stuck? So there is no way of knowing how many miles this car has then... It could be double or triple

@MYTOYS Unfortunately, I do not own a paint meter device. But the paint is original.
Paint meter readings available?
Hello @vadermb Thanks for the response. To be clear, the odometer is working? Please upload a recent photo of the odometer. Thanks again!
Thanks for the hvac reply.Do you have any recent odometer readings prior of being imported into US or tight after?
@MYTOYS Yes, the heater and the A/C work even in the Florida heat.
@ferrari400i With the initial delivery of the E500 was functioning. The most it had been driven is 50 miles to be inspected for a Florida title, so I would add an additional 80km from the indicated odometer. I understand your concern and I have a similar thing with my 82 380SL, so I just accepted that I'll never know how many I put on it. So that being said for the E500 if you are looking to get a Mercedes that you own for life, take care, and thoroughly enjoy seeing it every time you go to your garage, this would be it.
@vadermb Please answer my question so I can figure if, or how much I want to bid depending on your response.
Does the ac/heat operate properly? Any paint readings? Thanks
@vadermb Please see my message below.
Good morning @vadarmb I notice that the trip odometer is set at 000 (sometimes the plastic gear breaks and disables the unit). Please verify that the odometer works and is counting. The kilometers shown on this listing is 130,587. What are the kilometers on the car today? Any videos? Thanks!
The 500E is far more rare to see on the road today than any "exotic" sports car. Pictures just don't do those fenders justice as this car looks so mean in person.

@AMG5pt4i I am happy to see the passion for the W124.036 is as strong as it's legacy and I applaud you for the knowledge you bring. It is indeed a Japanese model and I believe you are correct about the headlights, I will post those pictures later on today. That being said the Japanese details with this E500 are quite unique and I hope that the next owner can enjoy the car knowing it is just that more special.
@VFRrider2000 as far as I know everything is as original as it gets. Since it was dealer serviced, I trust that it was properly maintained. I have not translated the service records myself but that could be something interesting to do for the next owner.

These just get better and better with age! The 500E Limited wheels are a great addition and that is a great interior. Such a shame we couldn't get them like this in the US originally... better late than never I guess!

Question to the seller: Have both original (biodegradable) wiring harnesses been replaced w/ new harnesses? Thanks.
This is the fourth or fifth Japanese market car I’ve seen with these floor mats. Are these a trend in that market or is it just coincidence ?
While I appreciate safety concerns as much as the next driver might not be fair to say “buyer beware” regarding the headlamps….perhaps buyer be aware is more accurate. Looks like a very nice example and certainly a well presented example. GLWTA!
Oh wow... I didnt realize this car had the cloth interior too! Im daydreaming about having this car and the matching 190E cosworth in the garage together. I could probably pull it off if I got rid of my wife's car (and also my wife) haha. Such a sexy car. GLWA!
Another Japan market car with what looks like right hand drive (RHD), left hand traffic (LHT) headlights. From a super close up look at the Passenger side headlight (pic 35), it appears the little arrow is pointing to the left - Seller please verify if I am seeing this correctly. 500E/E500 headlights are unique to these cars vs standard W124 headlights. These are non-US headlights on this car and (if my assumption is correct) they are for Japan/UK/Australia market. The reflectors and the lenses are specific for RHD/LHT and if used in the US or ROW, the headlights will direct light the wrong direction and into oncoming cars/eyes at night. 500E/E500 headlights are NLA and nearly impossible to find new or used. If a set is found, the price for a NOS set for this car will be $5,000 or so. Sellers who import cars from Japan rarely, if ever, take the time and expense to convert or provide proper LHD/RHT headlights for the US/ROW. Buyer beware, or don't drive the car at night. If I am incorrect, Seller can provide additional pics of the little arrows for each headlight (especially the Passenger side) and I will graciously retract my comment. Beautiful 124.036 and I especially like the plaid interior.
