This 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500SL AMG 6.0 was reportedly modified in period by AMG Germany and the datacard includes AMG option code 957 confirming the car was destined to be modified by AMG when new. Power comes from an M119 V8 that was increased in displacement to 6.0 liters by AMG and a 6.0 engine stamp on the bottom of the block is present. Finished in Cabernet Red Metallic (587) over Anthracite Leather (274) interior, additional AMG modifications include a 320km/h gauge cluster, a wood grain shift knob and Lorinser steering wheel, and OZ Racing Aero III wheels. Features include a black folding soft top, paint-matched hardtop, automatic climate control, Becker Europa 2000 head unit, an integrated phone, and original Euro-spec lighting. Recent maintenance performed in May 2023 includes a flushing of all fluids including gearbox oil, new spark plugs, filters, and rebuilt top hydrualic cylinders. Now showing 151k kilometers (~94k miles), this pre-merger AMG is now being offered by the selling dealer in Germany with a removable hardtop, partial service records including a stamped service booklet, an R129 AMG brochure, three original keys, and a clean German title.
The body is finished Cabernet Red Metallic (587) with matching painted lower body cladding and original AMG Aero III wheels made by OZ Racing. A folding black soft top can be seen in the gallery along with a paint-matched hardtop which features a black leather headliner. The original European-spec lighting shows a solid glass lens headlight and dark amber corner lights.
The original 17" staggered 3-piece AMG Aero III wheels are made by OZ Racing. The faces are painted silver with polished lips and Mercedes-Benz center caps are included. Kumho Ecsta LE Sport tires measure 235/45 front and 255/40 rear with 2017 date codes. Detailed pictures of the brakes and suspension components can be seen in the gallery.
The interior is upholstered in Anthracite Leather (271) with a matching dash and carpets. Burl wood trim accents the center console, gear shifter, steering wheel and doors. The wood trim presents in excellent condition with no fading or cracks. Amenities include automatic climate control, a Becker Europa 2000 head unit, factory integrated phone, electrically adjustable and heated seats, and a retracting roll bar.
The M119 V8 was bored and stroked to increase displacement at AMG’s Affalterbach factory to 6.0 liters, resulting in a modest rating of approximately 375 horsepower. The original AMG airbox is installed and AMG stickers located on the radiator support and valve cover denote the 6.0L upgrade along with a stamped 6.0 engine block. Records included in the sale include a stamped service booklet, partial service records, and AMG brochure specific to the 500SL 6.0. Recent service in May 2023 includes a flushing of all fluids including gearbox oil, new spark plugs, filters, and rebuilt top hydrualic cylinders.

Does the car have aftermarket springs on it?
A Very nice car. Not very much options though. But about the invoice for the leather work. Dude.. The handles in black (W124) cost about 15€/piece at the mb dealership. Good luck with the selling.
Can't wait to see the real players coming in for this one at the end
Beautiful Good luck
