This 1993 Mercedes-Benz 600SEC was delivered new to Viti Mercedes-Benz and shows just 69k miles from new with fully documented service history. The car was previously sold on The MB Market in October 2023. Finished in rare Crystal Green Metallic (256) over Beige Leather (265), power is provided by a 6.0-liter M120 V12 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes a sliding sunroof, remote central locking, Adaptive Damping suspension with automatic level control, heated multicontour front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Becker radio with a Bluetooth retrofit, and a Bose Beta audio system. A stamped service booklet is included which shows an engine wiring harness replacement performed by the dealer. A full fluid flush and service was performed in May 2023 including engine oil, transmission fluid, OEM hydraulic suspension fluid, and power steering fluid. This 600SEC is now offered for sale with the original manufacturer’s literature, both original keys, a clean Carfax report and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The pillarless body is finished in Crystal Green Metallic (256) with contrasting dark green lower body cladding. Exterior features include front fog lamps, headlamp wiper/washers, a power sliding sunroof, heated and power-adjustable door mirrors, pop-up reversing guides, dual-pane windows, soft-close doors and remote central locking. The seller notes an imperfection on the hood with detailed photos highlighting the exterior. The seller notes the headlight wipers to be inoperable. The Carfax report shows no accidents and the paint is believed to be original. Original "V12" badges are affixed to the rear pillars.
The original 16” 8-hole alloy wheels come fitted with a set of Michelin Premier A/S tires which measure 235/60 on all four corners with 2021 date codes. The wheels show no signs of curb rash or corrosion. Standard equipment includes four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes as well as hydropneumatic Adaptive Damping suspension with automatic level control. In 2023, the hydraulic suspension fluid was flushed.
The cabin is trimmed in Beige Leather (265) with matching beige floor mats and headliner. Burl Walnut wood trim accents the center console, dash and door panels. Both front seats are heated with 12-way power adjustability, multicontour backrests and three-position memory. Interior amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a power-adjustable rear-view mirror and steering column, a power rear sunshade, power rear headrests, a 12-speaker Bose Beta audio system, and a Becker radio with a bluetooth audio retrofit. The seller notes the passenger side power headrest is currently inoperable. The shifter bushings were replaced by the seller in May 2023 and the blower motor was replaced at 50k miles.
The four-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel frames analog instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows just over 69k miles from new.
This C140 is powered by a 6.0-liter M120 V12 which is rated for 389 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. A full service was performed in 2023 including a transmission service with fresh fluid, an oil & filter change, a power steering flush, hydraulic suspension fluid flush, and a new shifter bushing. A stamped service booklet shows documented service history performed by the dealer with a VMI (Vehicle Master Inquiry) report included by the seller. The engine wiring harness was previously replaced by the dealer.
The data card mounted below the hood displays the following codes:
The car was purchased new by the original owner in 1993 and was later sold in 2022 from the original owner’s widow. The car now comes with a clean Pennsylvania title in the dealer's name. The Carfax report shows linear mileage updates from new with no accidents or damage reports. This rare 600SEC is now offered with the original manufacturer’s literature, stamped service booklet, VMI, partial service records, both original keys, and a clean Carfax report.

@keithos27 If you have a look at the gallery, you'll notice some corrosion on some brackets and exhaust components underneath, typical of the car's age and mileage. The body, floors, subframes, and jacking points are all in great condition.

@forzacarcompany - any issues with rust?
@Cain Thanks for your comment. I admit that I missed that note in the previous listing, and if you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have noticed it myself. In the rear, the headliner has indeed come apart from the foam backing. It is extremely hard to tell this without physically touching it. I apologize for any confusion. The imperfection in the hood is still present. All the photos in the listing are our own and represent the car in its current state. You can see it in photos #49 and #50. Someone could attempt to improve it with a wet-sand and polish, but we haven't attempted it. It's hard to see unless you're on top of it.
@ ForzaCarCompany: Is the headliner still hanging in the rear? Was the scratch on the hood repainted / buff out? Cain
https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a15141060/1993-mercedes-benz-600sec-road-test-review/ Reading through old road tests of these Sacco-era Benz's never gets old. Adjusted for inflation, this car would've been something like $320k new. Everyone comments on the solidity of the car, the litany of buttons and rocker switches, and the sheer size of the thing. Being finished in Crystal Green just adds to the cool factor. Whoever winds up with this gorgeous 600 would no-doubt have a popular entry at any Radwood or similar event!

@babtainy Good morning, I'm trying to understand exactly what you mean. Are you asking which models don't have wiring harness issues? Maybe the community can help weigh in on this one. Thankfully, this car's wiring harness was replaced by a Mercedes-Benz Service Center not too long ago, which should offer some comforting reassurance for its next owner.

Hi there. In which model they have fixed the wiring harness on those V12?
$8,027 bid placed by @nawan
Whoever scoops this up needs to also get the 140 monoblocks that are up right now too! Would be a perfect pairing for this V12!
An additional video has been added to the listing showing a walk around and feature demo of the car.
@Stathios Great to see you found it! Please feel free to contact us directly, I'd love to connect. You always have some great cars.

Wow the car is back! Maybe I'll get it again, its an amazing car.
@mikelaca Thanks for your question. Neither the headlamp wipers, nor the passenger power headrest were proven to be working in the previous seller's features demonstration videos, so we can't say with any certainty if they were working then or not. Our own features demonstration video will be uploaded shortly. As you previously pointed out, the car has barely been driven or even sat in since the last time it sold, so I would wager the car is in the exact condition it was nine months ago. It was stored under a cover in a dry, heated garage during its brief stint with its second owner.
@Forzacarcompany It looks like the windshield wiper and motorized headrest both became inoperable between the prior auction and this auction based on the respective descriptions written. Can you please list anything else that is newly inoperable, changed, more worn or otherwise different than it was from the prior auction?

@mikelaca Thanks for your comment! You're right about the story, so here you go. First off, the car's most recent owner is doing okay to the best of my knowledge. He's a very nice guy with some fascinating stories, and I enjoyed meeting him. He and I had been in contact prior to his purchase of this car regarding some other cars he wanted to sell. Plans to visit never came to fruition until after he purchased this 600SEC and a 560SL (also off MB Market). The cars were represented accurately in their previous listings - he's just a true car enthusiast, adding to the collection while simultaneously talking about how he needs to shrink it! In the end, we purchased this car, the 560SL, and an S430 he purchased new for his wife in 2003. The other two cars have since been sold.
Wow there's a story here somewhere. 36 miles since last sold on this site 9 months ago. Did the last buyer have a heart attack the day he picked it up?
i wonder what is reserve, i would drive it home
