This 2000 Mercedes-Benz E430 sedan was reportedly purchased in El Cajon, CA and has remained in California since new. The car shows 69k miles and is finished in Black (040) over an Anthracite (211) leather interior. Power is provided by a 4.3-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, a power sunroof, automatic dimming mirrors and the Elegance package. Service within the last year includes a new 02 sensor, cabin air filters, and cleaned AC coils, and an oil & filter service was just performed in preparation for the sale. The exterior is finished in Black (040) with matching bumpers and trim. Features include fog lamps, an electric sunroof with tilt function, and brightwork accents around the lower beltline, bumpers, and grille. The seller notes scuffs on the bumpers and various imperfections congruent with mileage as pictured in the gallery.

Factory 5-hole 16” Mekab alloy wheels feature a painted face with a polished lip and wear Michelin MXV4 tires measuring 215/55. An original spare tire is stored in the trunk along with the factory tool roll and the car is factory equipped with electronic stability control.

The cabin is trimmed with Anthracite (211) leather and features burl wood accents on the center console, doors, and dash panel. Interior amenities include power-adjustable front seats with three memory settings, dual-zone automatic climate control, an integrated garage door opener, and automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors. The seller notes that the headliner is currently sagging and the dash shows a small crack on the top left corner of the passenger side airbag.

Instrumentation set behind the leather-wrapped steering wheel includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and engine temperature. The digital odometer shows just over 69k miles, approximately 3k of which were added by the seller, and all pixels are in working order.

The 4.3-liter M113 V8 was rated at 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque when new and power is to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The May 2022 Carfax report attached shows no reported accidents or damage and registration exclusive to California since new. You won't find any air suspension components to replace or flashy touch screens here. The W210, still highly underrated to this day, is one of the best platforms for overall long term driveability and this E430 should prove to be another well-kept, long term survivor in the hands of a fellow enthusiast.

@Koononyou If the Carfax is accurate, and no reason to think it’s not, then yes, Southern CA all it’s life. I’m going to guess that this is pretty clean underneath, but pictures showing axle boots and engine underside would be helpful in evaluating overall condition.

She's not perfect but IMHO this was the last great Mercedes. Great reliability, first true sport sedan with perfect combination of handling and power. Great gas millage because of the perfect balance of the curb weight to the engine. Car weighs about the same as a modern Camaro. Downside is rust unless you're willing to garage her over the winter (which I do). This is my second E430 and my first one was black. I still miss her, this is a beautiful car.
