This 2001 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG was first sold in Louisiana where it remained until 2015. The car then spent a brief time between Virginia, South Carolina, and New Jersey before relocating to North Carolina in 2017. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over two-tone Black and Grey leather upholstery, power is provided by an AMG-tuned 5.4-liter V8 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes xenon headlights, a glass sunroof, heated and multi-contour front seats, memory settings, cruise control, automatic climate control, a rear sunshade, and a Bose cassette stereo. The car now totals just over 64k miles and has been stored at Blue Ridge Auto Storage in Virginia for the last year. Recent service in preparation for the sale includes a new drive belt idler pulley, tensioner pulley, fan clutch, driver door actuator motor, and an oil & filter change. The car is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer's literature, service history records, the original tool roll, a Carfax report, and a clean North Carolina title.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744U) and comes fitted with factory AMG body work including sculpted front and rear bumpers, side skirts, factory rolled fenders, and twin chrome exhaust outlets. Additional features include xenon headlights, fog lights, headlight washers, power-adjustable side mirrors, a rain-sensing mono wiper, and a glass sunroof. A damage report is noted on the Carfax report in November 2017 and the front bumper and driver quarter panel are believed to be repainted as a result. There is no sign of rust or corrosion anywhere on the body. Detailed photos are provided in the gallery.
Factory 18″ AMG Monoblock wheels are wrapped in 245/40 front and 275/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires which showing 2021 date codes. The wheels have been previously refinished prior to the owner's acquisition. The front calipers are engraved with the AMG logo. All four brake pads and rotors were replaced in April 2021.
The cabin features seats upholstered in two-tone Black and Grey AMG Exclusive leather (528) along with matching door panels and head rests. Birdseye maple trim accents the dashboard, center console, shift knob, and door panels. The AMG shift knob is a rare accessory with matching wood and brightwork showing the AMG logo engraved on the top. Additional amenities include heated and multi-contour front seats, memory settings, cruise control, automatic climate control, a power rear-window sunshade, and a Bose cassette stereo. The headliner is fully intact with no sagging and there are no cracks on the dash. The original E55 AMG floor mats are included.
The multifunction steering wheel is covered in two-tone leather and frames an AMG-branded 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, along with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates just over 64k miles.
The naturally aspirated 5.4-liter M113 V8 produced 349 horsepower and 391 lb-ft. of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The Carfax report lists consistent service history through 2021 and paper service records from that time until current are included with the sale in a green binder. Some notable service items include a new rear main seal installed in January 2024 along with a coolant flush at Mercedes-Benz of Durham. The records also show new spark plugs installed in September 2022 at 52,229 miles. All fluids were checked and an oil service was performed in December 2025. Most recently in April 2026, the car received a new drive belt idler pulley, tensioner pulley, and fan clutch. Underbody photos are viewable in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows linear mileage updates since new and 27 service history records. One damage report from November 2017 is noted. The car has been stored at Blue Ridge Auto Storage in Virginia for the past year. This W210 AMG is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner and a binder of service history records are included in the sale.
A walk around and interior view of the car has been provided below.
With limited production numbers, the W210 E55 AMG has become a rare commodity. The 2001 model year is the lowest production year of them all with only 653 units offered for North America. Enthusiasts today are searching for the perfect car that still maintains a more connected, analog feel while providing speed, style, reliability, and modern day creature comforts. That perfectly sums up the W210 AMG. Many of the surviving examples on the market are well beyond 200k miles and, in some cases, are burdened with corrosion issues or heavy wear. This particular E55 has managed to accrue only 64k miles since rolling off the showroom floor and has been cared for as a proper enthusiast example should. The naturally aspirated M113 will forever be hailed as one of AMG's most robust and reliable engines. Back in its day, the E55 was able to compete from a performance standpoint with the likes of the Porsche 911 and Chevrolet Corvette. The only difference was seating for 5 and a comfy, luxurious cabin fit for long trips or the daily commute. The W210 AMG is no longer a secret; it’s officially a sought after collectible and a must have for any Mercedes enthusiast.
We've been fortunate enough to spend some up close and personal quality time with this E55. Coming from guys who've owned nearly 20 of these cars over the years, this one is particularly special as it was formely owned by one of The MB Market founders, Blakley Leonard, back in 2015 and 2017. That's right, twice. Behind the wheel, it's like traveling back in time and experiencing the greatness of these cars when new. There's no rattles or creaks, the suspension is firm and quite, and the steering is responsive and tight. When compared to the later generations of E-class, even of the most recent years, we would choose this E55 each and every day. From a reliability and cost-to-own standpoint, there's nothing better. No air suspension to quarrel with, brake jobs don't cost thousands, no interior screens to fail, no supercharger or turbo to worry about... just raw, unapologetic analog wizardry from the powerhouse of AMG and looks to kill.

Less than an hour to go! Thank you to everyone who've commented, messaged, texted, and bid so far! I expect the next owner will be absolutely thrilled with this car. The W210 AMG's are incredible machines and, in my humble opinion, the best all-around car out there. They're reliable, rare, easy to work on, look stunning, and offer a huge value today. No forced induction, no air shocks or hydraulics, no giant screens, just pure AMG muscle with room for five! Best of luck to all!$17,500 bid placed by @Mecho69
@BrunoSaccoAMG I have one key with the car. For reference, I got a new key last year for another W210 E55 which I have in my personal collection and it was around $300 from the dealer. Thanks! How many keys?$17,055 bid placed by @BrunoSaccoAMG

A cold start and driving video has been added!@DocTedMBZ Thank you, Ted! Hope you're doing well!I’ve seen this car in person and can attest to how clean it truly is. Whoever ends up with this one will be extremely pleased!@floman I do not have any information or records for that. It occurred after my initial ownership and prior to the owner's acquisition. The headlights and panels are all aligned perfectly which is generally a tell-tale sign of a botched or proper repair. This one was done right and I expect it was all superficial based on the current condition of the car. Thanks!@blakleyleonard, Beautiful car. Any details on the accident? Thank you, and good luck.$15,750 bid placed by @Pjenkins

@m_one Hey, everything works as intended and the car doesn't need anything that I'm aware of. The car was recently serviced and all fluids were inspected and topped off as needed.Anything inoperable ? Any service / maintenance issues that need attention ? Thank you.@Stuttgart_Steel I totally agree. If I didn't already own a few these I would be keeping this for myself!@th_boone The naturally aspirated M113's are bulletproof. Just basic maintenance and these cars will run forever. There's a reason I already own multiple versions of this car, simply the best all around AMG.I have a friend/client in the Raleigh area who was (last he told me almost 2yr ago) just under 300k on his black-on-black '01. Drives it daily and doesn't baby it. Always have wanted one of these.I’m literally sitting in my E55 in my driveway not wanting to get out of it after getting home from a RAPID late night commute. I’m telling you there’s nothing like this car. 233k miles on mine and it is an animal. Buy this. You will not regret it. They’re soooo good to drive.$15,250 bid placed by @Pjenkins
@blakleyleonard Thank you very much.@azizziz I'm happy to keep the car at my storage facility until the buyer can arrange pickup. It's all indoors and climate controlled. Thanks! This looks like a very clean E55. Would you have any objection to storing it for a month if I had to set up export? thank you. Thanks for the bids, comments, and messages so far! I personally bought this car back in 2015 when I was first starting to build my own collection. It had 39k miles back then and it's still just as nice today. The car came back to me again in 2017 when I helped a friend acquire the car. I guess third times a charm a whole 9 years later! It's been very cool to have this car under my care at Blue Ridge Auto Storage. The car drives fantastic and it's been freshly serviced for the next owner. As a fellow W210 lovers know, many of these cars are plagued with cracked dashboards, sagging headlines, and rust issues. I'm happy to say this one has none of those issues and is among the nicest examples I've seen. Best of luck to all bidders and I'll be happy to answer any questions!@113man Thank you, this one is very clean!Beautiful E55 in tuxedo interior!$15,000 bid placed by @Smcase22
