This 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG was originally purchased at Mercedes-Benz of Palm Beach and is one of only 662 produced for the US market for the model year. Finished in Black (040) over a Charcoal/Anthracite (251) AMG-leather interior, this soft-top AMG cabriolet is equipped with a 5.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission. Features include a hydraulically operated soft top, heated and powered front seats with memory, Keyless-Go, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a Comand CD stereo. The seller has added 600 of the 9k miles shown since his acquisition in 2020. Recent service is said to have included an oil and filter change along with replacement of the engine and cabin air filters. This CLK55 AMG is now offered in New York with an original window sticker, factory literature, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, first aid kit and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Black (040) and features AMG aerodynamic bodywork including a special front air dam, side skirts, rear apron, and twin chrome AMG exhaust outlets. The paintwork is believed to be entirely original and free of major defects or blemishes concomitant with a 9k-mile example. Staggered AMG 18″ twin-spoke aluminum alloys wear Continental SportContact 2 tires that measure 225/40 up front and 255/35 in the rear. The AMG sport suspension includes upgraded springs and larger diameter anti-roll bars, along with an AMG 6-piston braking system at all four corners.

The interior features AMG sport seats for the front occupants and is trimmed in charcoal/anthracite AMG-leather with matching door panels and brushed metal trim accents. Factory amenities include Keyless-Go, automatic dual-zone climate control, 10-way adjustable and heated front sport seats with 3-position memory, AMG leather steering wheel with AMG Speedshift, AMG door sill entrance plates, AMG floor mats, an 8-speaker Bose AudioPilot Digital Sound System and a six-disc CD changer. The original window sticker is included with the sale and lists an MSRP of $86,650 with options in late 2004.

The four-spoke AMG multi-function steering wheel fronts a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel-level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates just over 9k miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the seller.

The 5.4-liter AMG V8 was rated at 362 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and 376 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm from the factory. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission that is equipped with a manual mode and AMG Speedshift, along with a rear differential and external cooler. An oil and filter change was recently performed in preparation for the listing.

The September 2021 Carfax report shows no damage or other accidents, linear mileage updates, service history, and registration history in Michigan and New York. For years we've said the A209/C209 CLK55 AMG is one of the best affordable options for drivers to either venture into the AMG game or add to collections. While this specific model won't be the least expensive option on the market, it may still be one of the best deals. With only 9k miles, this CLK55 AMG has been phenomenally well-preserved and stands to not only serve as a great weekend cruiser, but offer the opportunity to drive one of these cars without any depreciation. The original window sticker, included with the sale, lists an MSRP of $86,650 with options in late 2004. In the not so distant future, noteably low-mileage examples of any naturally aspirated AMG with a V8 are guaranteed to appreciate in value. This is the last of a dying breed that enthusiasts will always crave. Collectors and enthusiasts alike should pay attention to this one, the naturally aspirated AMG M113 combined with the ability to go topless resulted in a truly special four-seater cabriolet.
