This 2007 Mercedes-Benz E550 was originally delivered to a dealer in Hawaii and sold to the first owner under the assistance of the seller. Finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) over Gray Leather (828), power is provided by a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Features include Keyless-Go, Parktronic, heated and ventilated multicontour front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a power rear sunshade with manual side shades, four-zone climate control, Bi-Xenon headlamps, and Sport package. As single-family owned example, the current seller inherited the car from their family member, the original owner, and has ensured all service and maintenance is up to date in preparation for the sale with a full list of items detailed below. This example is now offered by the current owner and single-owning family in Hawaii with 58k miles on the odometer, service records, detailed engine and underbody photos, factory literature, an original window sticker, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Hawaii title.
The body is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) and features Bi-Xenon Headlamps with directional fog lamps, front and rear Parktronic, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, factory blue tinted sport glass, and a power-opening panoramic sunroof. No damage or accidents are reported and the included Carfax shows a clean history free of any body or paint work. This example is also optioned with a Sport package including unique front and rear bumpers, side skirt extensions, and twin chrome exhaust tips.
This E550 wears original machined-face staggered 18x8.5/9.5 wheels wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 245/40 in the front and 265/35 in the rear. The wheels show minor blemishes and feature painted center caps. Adjustable Airmatic suspension allows for Comfort and Sport settings via the control below the gear shift and new front Airmatic struts were recently installed.
The cabin is upholstered in Gray Leather (828) across the seats, door cards, armrest, head rests, shift knob, and steering wheel. The dashboard, doors, and center console feature Designo Burled Walnut veneer along with the Gray leather steering wheel. The cabin also shows original gray carpets with matching floormats embroidered with Mercedes-Benz logos. Interior features include heated and ventilated multi-contour front seats, four-zone climate control, Keyless-Go, a power rear sunshade with manual side shades, rear folding seats with trunk passthrough, and factory COMAND with navigation and Sirius Satellite Radio capabilities.
The Gray leather and Burled Walnut-trimmed multifunction steering wheel frames an aluminum trimmed 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, as well as digital gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows only 58k miles. No warning lights or malfunction messages are showing and all pixels illuminate.
The 5.5-liter M273 naturally aspirated V8 was rated at 382horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque when new and is paired to a722.9 automatic seven-speed transmission. The seller has ensured all services and maintenance are up to date with recent services including fuel injector, new spark plugs, new front Airmatic struts, an air conditioning service including evaporator core, expansion valve, dryer, and O-rings. In 2021, a slight miss was traced back to the ECU and it was replaced with a refurbished OEM unit. Regular maintenance items completed in2021 included a full alignment and an oil change in preparation for the sale.
The provided Carfax report lists no damage or accidents along with linear mileage updates since new. This E550 is now offered by the current owner and single-owning family in Hawaii with 58kmiles on the odometer, service records, detailed engine and underbody photos, factory literature, an original window sticker, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Hawaii title.
The seller of this rare W211 sedan helped his father find and purchase the car new as a more comfortable alternative to the AMG-tuned E-Class of the era. These E550's were rarer than most consumers realized when under production and low mileage examples like this are very hard to track down in today’s market. Touting power figures greater than the W210 E55 AMG, these cars are still regarded as sleepers by enthusiasts and very desirable by those who know W211’s. All of the recent maintenance items addressed on this car, plus the new Michelin tires, are indications of a tentative owner who has treated the car well. The original window sticker boasts a long list of desirable options and a total MSRP of over $70k in 2007. The seller has offered to help the winning bidder identify proper shipping arrangements and hand-deliver the E550 to the appropriate port for the journey to the next caring home.

Posting publicly questions asked: Is the car AWD (all wheel drive)? The car is not; it is rear wheel drive. Based on the listing, it seems you may be in the car business. I am not a car dealer, but a passionate car collector and spend much of my time in California with some classic cars there. I often ship cars back and forth to Hawaii. Any idea what happens when the car arrives at the port, how long it can be held, etc? Picking the car up at the port is very easy. As the sailing schedules are documented, you will know the timing of when your car arrives. Right now, it has been well within three weeks of receiving the car after being shipped. You will formally be notified by the shipper when the car is available for pickup, and there is a window of about a week before storage charges begin. As the car is being shipped from Hawaii, USA, there are no customs or any regulations to contend with; you simply show up there with your ID, inspect the vehicle, and drive away. The car is street legal and licensed to drive anywhere in the continental USA.

@jpeterman Re: PPI, this car was being prepared in later 2021 to be sent off for a young family member attending college. In the end, we decided it might be better to simply sell it instead. Over $9,000 in recent receipts are included from the dealer and a qualified independent shop to prepare the car for long-term use and enjoyment. When the front struts were changed recently, an inspection was done again and no suspension items were identified that needed repair. We have included detailed pictures of the undercarriage. Some of the suspension components have been replaced while completing a four-wheel alignment by the MB dealer. This includes the tie rod ends and the torque strut bushings. The last alignment was done on September 2021 by the MB dealer. The car does not leak any oil and the dealer’s recent multi point inspections has not identified any oil leakage issues. The fuel sending unit leakage was detected when there was a strong fuel smell. It was fixed and repaired under warranty and documented in the receipts. Confirming that this car does not have a sunroof, but instead a panorama roof. It functions properly with no issues, including the sunshade. There are no outstanding recalls on this car, confirmed by dealer and by inputting the VIN in MB USA’s website. Thanks for the detailed questions. Our family member that really loved and enjoyed this car would easily spend an hour talking about it!

@gaijinshogun- any PPI performed? When the front air struts were replaced were any suspension components replaced as well? ie- control arms, ball joints etc. Any leaks from the rear of the engine due to the expansion plugs/breather cover? Any fuel leak due to the fuel sending units(under warranty via MB)? Was the car evaluated for the sunroof delamination recall? Beautiful car! I owned a 2008 E550 and loved it!!
@jrs3484 Timing chain has been flawless at 58K miles; no service has been recommended by the dealer. In looking through the detailed records, the crankshaft balance sensor appears to be original with no issues. Car has been serviced regularly and any issues/warning lights have been addressed immediately.
@gaijinshogun Thanks so much for the information. By the way, has the timing chain been serviced along with crankshaft balance sensor? Sensor has a tendency to fail from the engine heat build up.
@jrs3484 I've documented the best and most economical process to get the car to the west coast in the comments below, costing approximately $1,100. From the west coast (for example Long Beach, CA port), you will need to hire a shipper to pick it up at the west coast port and deliver it to your NY location. In my preliminary research, a budget of $1,400 can get the car to you from the west coast to NY, for an estimated total shipping cost of $2,500. However there are many different type of shippers, depending on your preferences and options, and the cost can be more or less. There is an excellent recent article regarding this matter which talks about the options and the cost variables: https://www.hagerty.com/media/advice/shipping-a-car-heres-how-and-why-to-make-the-right-choice/
Hi, do you have a shipping estimate to NY? Thanks. John

@gaijinshogun Thanks for the information .
@cmscollect Thanks for the inquiry. We can deliver and drop off the car at the local Hilo, Hawaii port and document the car before it gets shipped. As for costs, pricing and ports available from the two main shipping companies are as follows per review of their websites today: Matson (matson.com) $1,190 to CA - Long Beach or Oakland $1,690 to WA - Tacoma Pasha Hawaii (pashahawaii.com) $1,090* to CA - San Diego, LA, or Oakland $1,762* to TX - Dallas *With the current Aloha Spirit discount As the ships are relatively empty leaving Hawaii, you are able to obtain a quick booking and drop-off date. Also, the current west coast port backlog that has been documented in the news, especially in Long Beach, does not affect these two companies as they manage their own ships and facilities at the ports. We will be happy to discuss the pros and cons of shipping through the various carriers based upon your ultimate shipping destination.
