@Porschecarl hey Carl!! Nope! That would be an absolute beauty combination. It would fit perfectly.
greetings, I have an 88 560sl that has been lowered. Would you anticipate any fitment issues at the lower ride height?

Approaching the last few hours…don’t miss out! Shipping all across U.S is/should only be around $500. For the set.

@SDcarnerd unfortunately I don’t have photos of these exact wheels, however the fitment will be perfect! If you punch in “R107 Amg aero 3's” on google, you’ll see exactly what it’ll look like, but the front wheels will be pushed closer to the fenders and look stellar!
Any chance you have pics of wheels with these same specs fitted to an r107? If the fitment is correct, I think they could look fantastic on my '88 560SL.

@MBFahrer great question! The material of our wheels are all 6061 T-6 aluminum. Which is the strongest, most light weight, and durable material used for wheels. Otherwise known as “FORGED WHEELS”. Where we differ from the old school aero III’s is our barrels and lips are also FORGED! OEM areo 3’s would have been alloy not aluminum. The technology from the 80’s have differed a lot. Although the faces are the same material, the way they are tested and created are much different. Made from a single piece of block and CC’d to shape + the crazy amounts of strain and testing put onto the wheels results in a lifetime of structural integrity. Again, all this information can be found on our website nlwforged.com. You are paying fraction of the cost of aero 3’s while getting “BETTER” wheels. Of course fitment is much better too. Rears are 10j et17 which AMG nailed right on the head. However the front 8.5j et18 was very conservative, pushing the wheel very much inside of the wheel well. Our 8j et+5 allows the front wheel to be pushed to the edge of the wheel well flush like the rear, with no rubbing. Thanks, any questions please ask.
How do these differ from genuine Aero III's for W126?
@kokolomoush hello 👋 No the front 8j ET+5 is not a typo. The OEM 8.5j et+18 is a very conservative offset. It is not flush to the fenders. It does not do justice to the fitment. With the ET+5 it pushes the wheel out another 19mm, which allows the wheel to be perfectly flush with the fender for all applications mentioned. However, for the rear OEM 10j ET+17 is perfect. It is flush to the fenders so we have kept the rears the same. Thank you for the interest! :)
Hello, is the 17x8 offset et 5 a typo? This is what I show for the correct specs on the cars listed, , Front 17x8.5 et18 235/45R17 and 17x10 et17 255or265/40R17 for the rear.
