🚨10 minutes left!🚨

This 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL is almost out the door.
If you've been waiting for the right SEL to come along, this is it, classic boxy styling, a legendary V8 under the hood, and that unmistakable presence that makes everything else on the road look like a toy car.
This one drives like a dream. Solid, smooth, and full of character. It has all the charm of the early S-Class’s without feeling outdated.
This vehicle is ready for Canada and international markets, and we'll ensure a smooth and hassle free experience with door to door transportation to all Canadian provinces via railway, open carrier, or enclosed transport, based on your budget. We work closely with transporters and always love passing down the savings to customers, so bid with confidence knowing you have our full support. Reminder for US buyers: Since this is a 25 year and older Mercedes Benz, there are no 25% tariffs and just the regular 2.5%. We do not assist with the US import process, but companies like JK Technologies, Wallace Labs, and G and K Automotive are experienced and well equipped to handle it. Of course I’ll help you the best way possible.

Pro tip: Refresh your page when there are 2 minutes left so your browser isn't lagging behind. This SEL is way too cool to miss out on.
Good luck, and may the best bidder win! 🏁

@burdengood catch.

New muffler rubber loop will be bought and installed for the passenger side. It is not bent, just seems like it’s missing. There are no clunks or noises so it has been neglected. It will be done for the sale.

As for the rust, yes these OEM exhausts are known to rust over the years. However I do below it’s only the outer shell. Very very rare cases does it really corrode the exhaust. Especially since it’s driven and not just parked :)

1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL

Amritrana87 said:

@burden and all other BIDDERS:

UNDERSIDE photos have been added, you can see no rust (apart from the stainless steel exhaust) and the new suspension components, especially towards the front end, almost everything is gloss black (indicating the new parts).

1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL

Amritrana87 said:

@burdenHello!

1. Steering wheel: If the buyer wants the OEM steering wheel put on, it will be 100% included in the sale and delivered with the OEM steering wheel. It will be put on. The system is all intact. The wire was unplugged, when OEM steering wheel is being installed, the airbag wire can be connected and it will be fully operational.

2. Underside: Last time it had gotten an underside wash, it showed no rust. I will take some underside photos now, and upload them for tomorrow morning.

3. I unfortunately don’t have the hood FOAM. However, I’m sure I can source one for the buyer. Like I keep mentioning, with what seems reasonable, I will DEFINITELY work with the buyer and make sure they are happy. I have a lot of friends in the industry of old Benz’s.

Hello everyone, happy Victoria weekend for those on the west coast of Canada!

A video has been uploaded of this 560SEL, showcasing the beauty and elegance it brings. It is truly a masterpiece and this video shows you everything you need to see of it. Yes it has some imperfections which are due to the age of the vehicle but won’t be going for the six figures its true AMG form goes for.

Here the list of pieces that will be changed for the sale:
- Brand new hardware for the wheels
- Overspray on the door cards will be taken care of
- Driver side b pillar rip will be taken care of
- Glass sun roof cover re installed on sunroof
- New center console wood trim piece (matching the rest)
- New rear passenger door wood trim (matching the rest)

Like I said earlier, if the buyer wants anything specifically done, it will be done as long as it’s in normal reason. Thank you for reading, and happy bidding!

Yes unfortunately there is a bit of over spray. This will also be taken care of for the sale. I’m thinking of creating a list and posting it in the comments of the things that will be done for the sale. I just want the bidders to know…you will be taken care of.

@Ntrepidyes the fabric has a rip in it on the driver side B-Pillar. It will be fixed for the sale. There are a few things that will be fixed for the sale. Small things like this, don’t worry! I will work with the buyer and all will be answered.

@Virafpthank you! If the challenge you are referring to is importing…it’s not a challenge at all! Very straight forward, and very cheap. I would be more than happy to help with the process. Is the challenge importing? Remember there is only a 2.5% duty/fee. Nothing else.

**NO 25% TARIFFS**

Welcome to my auction of this spectacularly 560SEL. I am proud to be handling the sale on MBMarket. Extensive amount of work, time and money has gone into this vehicle for it to be where it is, the attention to detail is truly tremendous.
I wanted to address a few things.
- It's a Canadian specification car. Canadian buyers will pay 5% GST + provincial sales tax if applicable
- For American buyers, importing into the US is straightforward and no taxes or fees are levied on the Canadian side. The car does not need any modification to meet USA standards.
- Current import costs are:
**NO 25% TARIFFS**
a 2.5% duty and a few hundred dollars in broker fees.
TX International will ship it to you, and their in-house broker will handle all the paperwork. You can request a quote from them here https://
www.tfxinternational.com/ It can take them a couple of days for them to respond so it's best to get in touch with them early.

Vehicle: I bought this 560SEL with 177,xxx KMS in 2022. It was no where near the condition it is in now. Engine, transmission, exterior, interior, anything and everything you can think of is different. I put in tremendous amount of time and effort to get it my TRUE daily driver. Yes I’ve been daily driving this vehicle for 1.5 years, I’ve put on almost 35,xxx KMS. You can see what’s been done to it through the description so I won’t waste time writing that here. This is one of those cars you will think about later and say “I should have just bid on it”, why? Because it won’t go for six figures like the REAL AMG cars, and I know that, I understand that. But this is as close to you’ll get without paying the price. And yes, it has some imperfections, but a true car enthusiast knows..the car can never be perfect, unless….it sits in the garage.

As mentioned, every 5-6k km I did oil changes with only 5W-40 full synthetic oil (fall/winter) and 15W-40 for the spring/summer.

Once again thank you everyone for joining in, I'm excited to see what we can do with this auction, someone will be taking this classic home and I hope they can enjoy it at least half as much as I did. Zero complaints from the car, all in one.
As always, I'll be monitoring the auction closely, and feel free to use the Contact Seller button as well. Good luck, everyone!

Majority of the wheel is OEM OZ parts. Including, OUTTER LIPS , INNER BARRELS, FACES (of course). However the hardware (bolts and nuts) are aftermarket as the OEM OZ bolts were stripped and worn out. I can include the OEM OZ bolts in the sale if needed.

@Mgtothebgood question, here’s a breakdown;

It’s a USA specification car. Canadian buyers will pay 5% GST + provincial sales tax if applicable

– For American buyers, importing into the US is straightforward and no taxes or fees are levied on the Canadian side. The car does not need any modification to meet USA standards since it is older than 25 years.
– Current import costs are:
a 2.5% duty and a few hundred dollars in broker fees. TFX International will ship it to you, and their in-house broker will handle all the paperwork. You can request a quote from them here https://www.tfxinternational.com/ It can take them a couple of days for them to respond so it’s best to get in touch with them early.

If you need help, I personally will help you. All in all, it will be very cheap to bring over the border. Especially since I am 20 minutes away from the Washington BLAINE border.

As we approach the final hour of this auction on our beautiful CL63, I wanted to thank everyone for the comments, bidding and private messages. Thanks for all the inquiries, this vehicle is in such amazing condition, I wish there was a way for everyone to see the vehicle in person. There is no other CL in such great shape unless it has less than 10k miles.

The photos of the seats don’t do justice of how pristine of condition they are in.

The engine revs through the range so smoothly, the suspension floats, it is one beautiful car.

With all that being said, reserve is a bit higher than where we are at now, but it will be worth it to whoever takes her home.

2008 Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG

Amritrana87 said:

Hello everyone, I just wanted to thank everyone that is interested and or bid/commented thus far. I also want to address something I just realized was not Addressed in the listing. I had mentioned them to MB market, but I believe they were left out by accident. First thing., as you can see from the records the engine mounts were replaced less than 15,000 km ago however they were replaced with a much stiffer/more rigid engine mounts meaning when the engine ask for a few movements, they become a little restricted, this causes a small amount of vibration at around 2000 RPM before the harmonic balancer kicks in. It is nothing to worry about it is very minor and I have the mechanics report if needed.

Lastly, very simple: the valve covers are leak leaking. They are leaking a little bit, but I still want to mention it. The reason for it not being done already is I’m just going to see if the car can sell as is as the reserve is set relatively low.

Thank you everyone. I wish everyone could see this car in person because it is a true beauty from the interior to the exterior in no way does it show over “ 10,000 km the seats, especially the rear seats show nowhere I think no one has ever sat in the rear. It cruises down the highway at ridiculous speeds with butter like smoothness.

Thank you all happy bidding.

@DLL58yes. TFX had told me there aren’t any 25% tariffs on Mercedes Benz vehicles, and also, the vehicle tariffs that have the 25% apparently start on May 2nd.

Regardless, any potential US buyers, so most likely everyone, beware of this situation and please do some research or call TFX International for all info.

I don’t think there is tariffs on this car.

Custom Forged 2-Piece 17" Aero III-style Wheels

Amritrana87 said:

@MBFahrergreat question!

The material of our wheels are all 6061 T-6 aluminum. Which is the strongest, most light weight, and durable material used for wheels. Otherwise known as “FORGED WHEELS”. Where we differ from the old school aero III’s is our barrels and lips are also FORGED! OEM areo 3’s would have been alloy not aluminum.

The technology from the 80’s have differed a lot. Although the faces are the same material, the way they are tested and created are much different. Made from a single piece of block and CC’d to shape + the crazy amounts of strain and testing put onto the wheels results in a lifetime of structural integrity.

Again, all this information can be found on our website nlwforged.com.

You are paying fraction of the cost of aero 3’s while getting “BETTER” wheels.

Of course fitment is much better too. Rears are 10j et17 which AMG nailed right on the head. However the front 8.5j et18 was very conservative, pushing the wheel very much inside of the wheel well. Our 8j et+5 allows the front wheel to be pushed to the edge of the wheel well flush like the rear, with no rubbing.

Thanks, any questions please ask.

Custom Forged 2-Piece 17" Aero III-style Wheels

Amritrana87 said:

@kokolomoush hello 👋

No the front 8j ET+5 is not a typo. The OEM 8.5j et+18 is a very conservative offset. It is not flush to the fenders. It does not do justice to the fitment.

With the ET+5 it pushes the wheel out another 19mm, which allows the wheel to be perfectly flush with the fender for all applications mentioned.

However, for the rear OEM 10j ET+17 is perfect. It is flush to the fenders so we have kept the rears the same.

Thank you for the interest! :)

Just a reminder that the tariffs does not affect this vehicle as its manufacturer origin is Germany. If there’s any questions about the import or transportation please reach out to me as soon as possible. I am happy to answer or assist.

For all interested US bidders. It would be a good idea to import as the US dollar is high. Now is the time.

All high performance / rare vehicles are being imported now because of the exchange rate at the moment. Take advantage.

Hi! Owner of NLW here; Amrit

Thank you @Ndume254 for the shoutout on the manufacturing. It will be interesting how much these wheels go for as they are very expensive to manufacture!

@Starkermann hey, do you mean import to the “US” ?

If so, yes! 100% possible and very easy to do so. All you need is to get a broker who will go through the process for you.

@TKS77haha, I know it’s sort of a bummer! I am very happy to be listing the vehicle on the MBmarket but I also understand they may stop some bidders from bidding. However importing the vehicle to the US is not as hard as some may perceive it to be.

The cost isn’t much either! You can do easy research and get an estimate from brokers to see how much it would be. Also, as for the shipping cost, THEMBMARKET can help ship the vehicle as you can get an estimated shipping quote above ^

Bid now while you have the chance!
