This complete EFI (electronic fuel injection) conversion kit for Mercedes-Benz M116/M117 K/KE Jetronic engines is offered by the seller as an unused item with the original manufacturer's box included. It’s designed to convert M117 V8 engines that use Bosch K Jetronic (CIS) or Bosch KE Jetronic (CIS-E) fuel injection systems from Mercedes-Benz. The kit includes all necessary parts for a complete conversion that’s reversible as needed. Additionally this kit allows for bluetooth data monitoring and diagnosis.
The Elbe EFI kit ensures better ignition performance, more efficient operation, a notable increase in fuel economy, and more precise metering. The system replaces the distributor in favor of electronic ignition and, with the ECU included, is applicable for any M116 / M117 V8 K/KE Jetronic engines. No modifications to the car are necessary in the installment and preservation of the original system is facilitated.
This EFI kit by Elbe Engineering is offered by the current seller out of Charlotte, North Carolina as an uninstalled complete kit including ECU. It offers a complete and reversible conversion for M116/M117 V8 engines and allows for bluetooth connectivity to monitor data for the ignition system via Android operating systems.

@OriginalAndRare Not sure you're going to find dyno results out there but this is certainly an upgrade over the standard Jetronic. There's a reason everyone switched to electronic fuel injection. As a more efficient system there has to be some power increase I would think, probably 15-20 hp if I had to guess.

.. A question about the performance, what does these kit breally bring on the wheel on an dyno fitted on an M117 from an 560 SL 1988?? Maybe I didn't get the point on these upgrade set here?? GLWTA

This would not work with a 1971 M116 engine, isn't that right?
Alright everybody, the time has come! Last hour for bidding. Let's make it happen, good luck and happy Sunday! :)
@thegreg92 Yes the installation instructions are in English. They are included with the sale. Installation of this EFI kit is very straight forward. Since the kit is well done and it is reversible if one wanted to remove the kit to keep it and return back to stock to sell the car per example.
@AKJeeper Yes it does. This kit does not touch the EGR. It only removes the factory mechanical fuel injection and replaces it.

Are the installation instructions in English? Any photos of those? Thanks
Do you know if the EGR remains in place with this kit? Or is it eliminated?

Is this kit compatible with early K-jet cars? My car is a 1979 450SEL with K-jet with a warm-up regulator and coolant temp dependent air slide for idle speed control
@Afifj Yes, it will work. Per any stand alone conversion I Strongly reccomend that who ever you are...Book time at your most proficent tuner/dyno in the area. Street tuning EFI only takes things So Far.
@BlueridgeMB so this kit works for my car?
@Afifj All 560's use CIS/E. Only difference with your euro vs US is you May have an 8 pin EZL with knock sensors, intake air temp and more more adjustments available via trim plugs on both the KE and EZL systems. Likely have an exhaust temp gauge too which is nice for those Looooong hard runs...:) K jet/warm up regulator cars stopped in 85.
Am not very knowledgeable about m117 engines, my car is 1990 - 560SEC imported from Japan This kit works on it? I have read some where that K/KE stopped in 1985 on w126 cars, true? Thanks
Hello everyone, Thank you for bidding and viewing this kit. This EFI kit is absolutely top notch and very high quality. It was only removed from the original box to take pictures for this auction. it's never been installed and brand new. I saw a 560SEC and a 560SL running an exact kit like this and was a whole different car. The tunability of this EFI kit and if you compare the very expensive original mechanical Bosch fuel injection parts that it's replacing, it makes this kit a worth while upgrade. Today with the low quality gas or ethanol, lack of driving, wear & tear or just being old cars you have to go through the entire fuel injection system no matter the mileage. Do not forget the endless vacuum leaks and old rubber hoses. This kit will pay for it self easily if you compare and price out all the parts of the mechanical injection... EFI help with startup, emissions, power, responsiveness and MPG's also. It is well made and installation-friendly. Quick note, this kit is made to reuse the factory air cleaner assembly! So, you can retain the OEM Mercedes-Benz engine bay look if wanted. Thanks and good luck.
@Tommyd2324 Good question. Yes of course the installation instructions are included. No problem. This kit is a "bolt on" application and will replace the current mechanical injection on a M116/M117. It is simple to install.
Are the installation instructions included ?
