This one-owner 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG was purchased new at Lakeview Mercedes-Benz in Rockville Centre, NY in 2005 and has remained with its original owner in New York since new. The car is finished in Black (040) over Exclusive Graphite/Anthracite AMG leather (581) interior and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Features include an AMG Styling Package, fog lamps, a power sunroof, automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, Keyless-Go, COMAND infotainment, an electric rear window shade, and more. This CL65 has been meticulously maintained by the original owner who drives the car monthly and reports annual oil services, bi-annual brake/fluid services, and all service records since new. This C215 flagship coupe has just over 20k miles and is now offered by the original owner in New York with the original window sticker, sales brochures, purchase agreement, dealer literature, factory literature, promotional materials, a clean one-owner Carfax report, and a clean New York title.
The body of this pillarless coupe is finished in Black (040) and features integrated fog lamps, a heated windshield washer system, a remote-closing boot lid, a power-operated glass sunroof, and an AMG styling package consisting of a unique front spoiler, side skirts, rear apron, and quad exhaust outlets. The paint is reported to be 100% original and in excellent overall condition. Detailed pictures of the exterior can be viewed inn the gallery.
Two-piece, split-spoke 19″ AMG alloy wheels are wrapped in the original 245/45 front and 275/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Up close photos in the gallery display minor blemishes on two of the four wheels. Larger, silver-finished brake calipers and cross-drilled rotors at each corner are also standard AMG equipment.
The cabin is trimmed in Exclusive Graphite/Anthracite AMG leather (581) with burled walnut root trim on the center stack, console, and door panels. Amenities include heated and ventilated multi-contour front seats with position memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless-Go, an electric rear window shade, COMAND infotainment with navigation, Harman-Kardon surround sound, a six-disc CD changer, and a Mercedes-branded Bluetooth module.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer and an AMG-branded tachometer, as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer has 20,342 miles, all of which have been added by the original owner.
The twin-turbocharged V12 displaces 5,980cc and was hand-assembled at the AMG facility in Affalterbach, Germany. The engine was rated 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque when new and features a plaque with the builder’s signature atop the carbon fiber-trimmed cover. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission, and all records from the sellier which document the car’s service history are included with the sale.
The September 2021 Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and shows one-owner history exclusive to in New York as well as 10 dealer service visits.
The C215 AMG coupes are tremendous values in the collector Mercedes marketplace and no example shines as brightly or devours rubber as fiercely as the V12 biturbo-powered CL65 AMG. While prices previously stagnated on these big-bodied grand tourers for years, recent price trends show a sharp increase in appreciation by collectors and drivers alike. And there’s good cause for the shift in focus: with elegant, pillarless coupe lines and adrenaline-surging, twin-turbo V12 power, these brilliant beasts made an appropriate swan song for Bruno Sacco’s last Mercedes-Benz coupe design. Once formerly maligned by fears of ABC-induced bankruptcy, time has shown that a properly maintained, low-mile C215 can be owned and enjoyed without panic of a five-figure repair bill; as a properly serviced ABC system can be surprisingly robust with proper pampering. Thus, the market has followed suit and low-mileage, well-maintained examples such as this are now rapidly-appreciating, future classics. With such limited quantities, the chances of stumbling across another one-owner CL65 with this incredibly low mileage are few and far between. If you’ve ever wanted a hand-built V12 AMG flagship super-coupe, now is the time to act before prices accelerate further.

I would love to talk to JHmang that bought this car about his experience after the sale and the condition of the car. Buying a W215 whether it's the base V8 or the high end CL65 requires proactive maintenance. This example with low miles may sound like it's mint but the truth is that these cars actually break down faster when they are not running. The ABC components suffer from hose fatigue and the struts and valve blacks can have leaks due tot he lack of fluid pumped into the lines. I hope they at lease put 2-3 miles per week on this car if it is in storage as part of a collection. So JHmang if you read this please reach out to me, Gunter BenzMeiser at [email protected] Check out my channel dedicated to daily driving and maintenance of the CL500 at https://www.youtube.com/@CL500MBZ
I woulda kept going if the seller actually responded to my messages but whatever

I will never understand how someone can go buy a car like this, one specifically suited to long & luxurious high speed adventures.... and then just not drive it. I will however continue to respect it. Were it not for people like that to keep these rare birds maintained and pampered, they wouldn't be available in mont condition all these years later for the bargain enthusiasts to scoop up and enjoy GLWA
