@LWB250The speedo did work for a while when I got it. I haven't attempted to diagnose the failure I am thinking a bad cable. The hole in the floor is behind the passenger seat. I though I posted a picture of the inside of the trunk with no mat, but if not I will have one up in the morning. There is light surface rust in the trunk but nothing major.
